CRICKET: Saints are Premier League champions!
St Asaph are champions of the North Wales Cricket Premier League for the third time in six seasons.
Needing just four points from their final fixture at home to Denbigh today, Saints have already secured five after setting 339-6 in their innings.
Regardless of the end result, Asaph will now repeat their championship-winning feats of 2021 and 2023. They were also runners-up in 2022 and 2024, making them by far the most consistent North Wales top-flight side of the current decade.
Winning the toss and electing to bat against local rivals Denbigh, Saints’ huge total of 339 included 94 from opener Evan Williams, plus half-centuries for Will Norman and Matty Ryan.
