Young talent shining in various sports

Meet some potential superstars of tomorrow who are excelling in a number of sports.
Isla Thorne, a pupil at Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle, is not only a top player with Pwllheli Bobcats netball team, she has just been selected for the under-13 North Wales hockey side which will soon be travelling to a prestigious tournament in Nottingham.

She is also on the Wales Squash pathway and came second in a major development tournament in Swansea last weekend.

A group of girls from Ysgol Glan y Mor in Pwllheli (pictured above) have also been selected for the same North Wales hockey squad as Isla.
Congratulations to Indi, Casi, Sophia, Nanw and Louisa on being chosen. To have 5 members of a squad of 18 from one school is a great achievement.
Not all achievements are academic and sports are such an important part of young girls’ lives. When schools celebrate these achievements, they not only show the young girls credit they deserve but they also boost their self-confidence.
Da iawn Ysgol Glan y Môr a da iawn genod.
