For the second week running Chirk piled up a huge score which led them to victory.
The home side took full advantage of being asked to bat, hammering 314-4 off 45 overs.
Following up his monster ton of the week before, Andrew Swarbrick cracked 99 not out off just 37 BALLS – including 10 sixes and seven fours.
Nick Flack added 77 off 74 deliveries, sharing in a fourth-wicket stand of 133 with the ruthless Swarbrick.
Openers Wynn Jones (60) and Gareth Partridge (56) got the party started with a 106 partnership.
Shifnal seconds, second in the table, were then bowled out for 194, Chirk sealing a 120-run win which keeps them third, right on their opponents’ coat-tails.
Luke Gardner claimed 3-42, Billy Swarbrick 2-37 and Mark Shaw 2-38 in a 20-4 points success.

Despite setting a decent total Chirk seconds ended up losers by seven wickets.
The North Wales side’s latest trip was to Quatt, an ancient village in South Shropshire countryside on the A442 road from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth.
Although its population is only about 200, Quatt Cricket Club has five men’s, two women’s and six junior teams.
Put into bat, 10-player Chirk seconds posted 173-9 off 33.1 overs.
Skipper Liam Walker top-scored with 62, Stephen Conner made 36, Dale Randall 27 and Andrew Edwards hit a career-best 17 not out.
Stephen Taylerson collected 4-33 and William Beards 3-42 for the hosts.
Quatt 3rds eased to 174-3 in 38.1 overs to clinch a 20-4 points triumph, Mark Gilbert 58 not out, Luke Daly 45 and Mark Ward 31.
Owen Hopwood, Randall and Conner took a wicket apiece for the visitors.
Next Saturday, Chirk 1st XI will host Bomere Heath 1st XI, while Chirk 2nd XI visit Hinstock 1st XI.
