1ST XI DIVISION ONE

FLEETWOOD HESKETH (7) 162-10 CLWB CRICED BAE COLWYN (24) 208-8 dec

Vishal Kushwah scored 84 and took five wickets in a stunning all-round performance as Colwyn Bay celebrated victory at Fleetwood.

Bay were put into bat at Sea Cop and posted 208-8 declared off 55 overs, Indian ace Kushwah’s dominant innings coming off 75 balls and including nine fours and four sixes.

The visitors were 36-4 before Kushwah and Sion Morris (29) steadied the ship with a stand of 60.

Kushwah then took 5-34 off 19.5 overs as Fleetwood were bowled out for 162, spinner Paul Jenkins with an immaculate 3-38 from 20.

LYTHAM (20) 136-4 NORTHOP HALL (4) 134-10

Hall’s modest total of 134 was never going to be enough to deliver a win at Lytham.

Jac Kennedy (38) and Ben Slater (33) were the best contributors for the visitors, who were put into bat, Zia Ur Rehman Akbar grabbing 5-13 for the hosts.

In reply, Lytham dipped to 24-3 and there was a glimmer of hope for Northop Hall, but Matthew Taaffe (52 not out) and Richard Staines (32 no) guided the home side to victory with an unbroken half-century stand for the fifth wicket.

Darren Leach collected 2-36 for the visitors.

1ST XI DIVISION TWO

ALDER (25) 227-10 PRESTATYN (7) 144-10

Prestatyn found a 200-plus total too tough to chase in West Derby.

Put into bat, Alder amassed 227 all out, Greg Harvey 84, Sampath Perera 3-52 for Prestatyn, Danny Pryde 3-62, Benjamin Hughes 2-30 and Sheil Sethi 2-49.

Skipper David Harris did best with 47 in Prestatyn’s response of 144 all out, Danny Johnson 4-24 and Harvey 4-28 for the hosts.

2ND XI DIVISION ONE
