Ardal North West: Five players score hat-tricks across six games as Porthmadog go back top

Llanrwst United 4 (Parry 3, S Jones)

Callum Parry made it six goals in three games for Llanrwst with a superb hat-trick in Saturday’s convincing win at The Crick.

Parry broke the deadlock in the 20th minute with a first-time finish to make it 1-0 at half time.

The former Colwyn Bay and Holyhead Hotspur striker doubled the away league nine minutes into the second half, going round the keeper before finding the net.

Sam Jones finished coolly after a good team move to make it three on 59 minutes.

Parry completed his treble in the 85th minute and could have added another when he struck the crossbar.

On-fire Porthmadog made it 18 goals in their last three matches as they returned to the top of Ardal North West.

Only three minutes had elapsed when the hosts, with their first meaningful attack, went ahead as a well-floated corner by Stuart Rogers was superbly headed into the net by Paul Lewis as he out-jumped Rhostyllen’s defence.

In the 13th minute, visiting keeper Luke Christie pulled off a great save from a Rhys Alun header.

Julian Williams made it 2-0 in the 21st minute when he tapped in after the ball bounced off the keeper from a Rhys Alun effort.

Christie pulled off another tremendous stop from a John Littlemore piledriver, but Port went 3-0 up when a deep cross by Nathan Craig was headed in by Lewis.

On the stroke of half time, the dominant home team made it four.

Marcus Banks put Rhys Alun through on goal and with the Rhostyllen defenders standing still as they waited in vain for an offside flag, the striker calmly placed the ball into the net.

The second half was a relatively disappointing affair, not helped by the driving rain.

Port did not score again until the 79th minute when a Williams deep left foot cross was met by a fine volley from Banks which Christie spilled into the net.

On 82 minutes, the visitors earned a deserved consolation through Lee McBurney.

CPD Y Felinheli 3 Brickfield Rangers 2

Gavin Lloyd-Jones’ hat-trick earned maximum points for Felinheli at the San Seilo.

Lloyd-Jones struck from a penalty on 36 minutes, added a second after 54 and completed the treble with a superb free kick.

Chris Dixon and Andy Vale hit back for Brickfield, but they had left it too late to save the game.

Llanuwchllyn 4 Nantlle Vale 1

Joe Williams celebrated his first hat-trick for Llanuwchllyn in a convincing win over visitors Nantlle Vale.

Williams converted a penalty on four minutes before adding goals on 38 and 41 minutes.

Dan Dascalu, playing his first game in two-and-a-half years, marked his return with a very popular goal as Llan went in 4-0 up at the break.

A John Evans own goal put Vale on the scoreboard in the second half, but Llan lie a strong third after this result.

Llay Welfare 8 St Asaph City 1

Jonny Taylor was a four-goal star in this thumping victory for Llay against the bottom side.

Jon Collo also delivered a double for the hosts, Tom Wells and Ryan Merrill also on target, while Andy Booker replied for Saints.

Rhydymwyn 6 Blaenau Amateurs 3

Connor Whelan was one of five hat-trick scorers in the Ardal North West on Saturday.

Captain Whelan’s triple net-finder for Rhydymwyn helped overcome Blaenau 6-3 at the Mornflake Mighty Oats Ground, Nathan Mendoza with a pair and Harry Massey grabbing the first for the hosts.

Three of the home goals came via Iwan Rogers corners.

Joseph Dukes-Morgan and Iwan Jones (2) were the Quarrymen marksmen.

Denbigh Town 4 (Jacob Walker 5 & 60, Stuart Jones 86, Sam Tate 90+2)
Saltney Town 2 (Tommy Booth 42, Ryan McCleary pen 88)

Undefeated Denbigh temporarily hit top spot on Friday night with a well-earned victory over Welsh Cup heroes Saltney.
