12 latest transfers on the North Wales football scene – it’s been a busy start to the summer

MOLD ALEXANDRA

Kieran Owens (Flint Mountain to Mold Alex)

Attacking player Kieran netted eight goals in 28 appearances for Flint Mountain last season and also captained the side in Cymru North.
Mold are excited to have this highly-committed and enthusiastic performer on board.

Luca Hogan (Flint Mountain to Mold Alex)

Aged just 20 but brings lots of experience to the table, having represented Flint Mountain, Airbus UK Broughton and Holywell Town in the Cymru North, as well as Connah’s Quay Nomads and Aberystwyth Town in the Cymru Premier.
Mold manager Barry Owen has wanted to bring Hogan to Alyn Park for some time and is delighted to finally get his man.

Rhyss Nash (Colwyn Bay to Mold Alexandra)

Nash becomes a permanent signing for former club Mold, where he impressed in a loan spell from Colwyn Bay last season.
The midfield ace landed at Alyn Park in January and scored three times in 13 games, playing a key role in Alex’s superb end to the 2025-26 campaign.
Nash had joined the Bay at the start of 2024-25, making 35 first team appearances before going out on loan to Mold, where he had been a star performer in several previous seasons at Cymru North level.
Rhyss won the Ardal North West title and FAW Amateur Trophy with Alex in 2021-22, plus the Welsh Blood Service National League Cup in 2023-24.

CPD Y RHYL 1879

Joe Ly (Flint Mountain to CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Former Flint Mountain defender joins with energy, passion and ambition to help push Rhyl to new heights in the Cymru North this season.
The 22-year-old made 23 appearances for Mountain last season.

Max Moore (Buckley Town to CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Immense talent who had been with Buckley Town since January 2022, having previous played for Llandudno and Connah’s Quay Nomads.
The 25-year-old scored eight goals in 19 Cymru North appearances for the Bucks last season.
Scored on his debut for The Globe side in a 2-1 win over Llanidloes Town on January 29, 2022, and in all made 144 first team appearances for the club, netting 41 goals.

TREARDDUR BAY

Noa Hughes (Bethesda Athletic to Trearddur Bay)

Versatiile performer, aged 20, joins his elder broither Osian in departing Bethesda Athletic and joining Trearddur Bay.
Noa played mainly at the back in 2025-26, but his record of 54 goals in 149 appearances for Pesda since 2021-22 speaks volumes for his ability to adapt to any position.

Joe Todd (Bethesda Athletic to Trearddur Bay)

Midfielder, aged 27, who signs for the Beach Boys after five seasons at Bethesda where he made a total of 127 appearances, pocketing 71 goals.
His best season by far was 2021-22, where he knocked in 29 goals in 26 matches across all competitions, including 27 in 21 in the North Wales Coast West Division One, where Pesda finished runners-up.
Was also a vital player when Athletic won the North Wales Coast Premier title in 2022-23 and 2024/25.

Tomos Hughes (Bethesda Athletic to Trearddur Bay)

A product of the Llandudno Academy, Tomos is a versatile player who can operate across the midfield and back line, bringing flexibility and composure to the squad.
The 22-year-old has spent the past five seasons at Bethesda, making 105 appearances and scoring 26 goals.

CAERNARFON TOWN

Sion Bradley (The New Saints to Caernarfon Town)

Back to stay!
After last season’s outstanding loan spell at Caernarfon, comprising 31 games and nine goals, including one in Town’s historic 3-0 Welsh Cup Final victory over Flint Town United, Brads has now made his move to The Oval permanent.
The 28-year-old forward had rejoined the Canaries on loan from The New Saints for the entire 2025-26 season in August. He went on to reach his 200th appearance for the Cofis, a figure which is now up to 216.
The Blaenau Ffestiniog lad’s previous clubs, apart from Caernarfon and Saints, were Bala, Blaenau Amateurs, Penrhyndeudraeth, Bangor City and Porthmadog, before first being brought on board by Caernarfon on their return to the Cymru Premier in 2018-19.
Bradley spent the next four seasons with the Cofis, winning the Welsh Premier Player of the Season award for 2023-24 before being snapped up TNS in July 2024, going on to feature in 10 European fixtures for the full-timers
Now he is heading for Euro football again – this time with Caernarfon.

Ben Nash (Connah’s Quay Nomads to Caernarfon Town)

Experienced defender Nash joins the Welsh Cup holders in a potentially career-boosting move.
Nash, 27, came through the Connah’s Quay Nomads Academy and made his full debut against Airbus on New Year’s Day 2015.
In August 2015, he joined Buckley Town on loan, but was recalled in March 2016. Nash left Nomads in late 2016, joining Denbigh Town, then followed spells with Rhyl FC and Flint Town United before returning Connah’s Quay at the start of 2022-23, spending the next four seasons with the Deesiders. Has made 174 Cymru Premier appearances in total.

CONNAH’S QUAY NOMADS

Darren Stephenson (Flint Town United to Connah’s Quay Nomads)

Connah’s Quay Nomads have signed 33-year-old striker Darren Stephenson from Cymru Premier neighbours Flint Town United.
The Jamaican-born striker scored nine goals in 34 appearances for the Silkmen last season, but has also played throughout the English football pyramid during his career including spells at Bradford City, Tranmere Rovers, Stockport County and Chester among others. Stephenson’s most prolific spell came at Chorley, where he scored 62 goals in 157 games.

Hussein Mehasseb (Bala Town to Connah’s Quay Nomads)

Egyptian striker Mehasseb hopes to make his mark in the Cymru Premier with new club Nomads.
The Cairo-born 23-year-old is best known in the top flight for his time at Bala Town which saw him score 9 times in 28 games last season, including three in two against the Quay.
The 6’6” striker has represented Egypt at U20 level.
Whilst learning his trade, Hussein spent a number of years in the Scottish system with Rangers Youth B and Motherwell.
Hussein would head back home for a stint with the most successful club in Egypt – Al Ahly – before then heading around Europe including spells at Lithuanian side Neptunas, Cypriots Omonia and Kosova’s FC Malisheva before joining Bala in 2024.
