Top two Colwyn Bay and Bethesda both chalked up a pair of wins in the North Wales Women’s Cricket League on Sunday, but the highlight of the day was a first victory for Carmel.

Unbeaten Bethesda came through their toughest test of the season as they beat determined Conwy by just eight runs.
Batting first, Pesda made 123-4 off their 16 overs for a net total of 303.
Captain Hannah Jones led the way with 24, Emma Jones hit 18, Elin Pritchard 15 and Ellie Creek 11.
Conwy had a great go at passing the Bethesda score, finishing on 105-2 for a net 295.
Captain Llinos Hill stood out with a marvellous 31 off 17 balls, Charlotte Miles 11 and Dona Jones 10. Hannah Jones took 2-9 for the winners.

Skipper Hannah Jones completed a fine individual weekend by scoring 29 in her team’s comfortable win over Llandudno.
Pesda set 151-5 for a net total of 326, Elin Pritchard adding 23, Luned Roberts 15 and Emma Jones 12.
Llandudno responded with 89-6 (259), Erin Deering 16 and Laura Lambe 15, Luned Roberts 2-13 for Bethesda in a 67-run victory.

A memorable first-ever win for Carmel as they triumphed by 13 runs over Northop Hall.
Carmel chose not to supply any individual scores, but for the Hall, Jess Petryszyn made 9.

Kerry Roberts made 11 and captain Sarah Banham 10 in Bay’s score of 116-1, extras totalling 60.
Carmel were limited to 64-8, Rachael Simmons snapping up 3-3 for Colwyn, Amy Kennedy with 2-14.

Charlotte Bennett top-scored for the Bay with 16, Jane Smith adding 15, Rachael Simmons 11 and Sue Wolfendale 10.
Sarah Armstrong posted 14 in Hall’s response of 72-4, Simmons 2-8 and Smith 2-11 for Colwyn.
