Llay advanced to the next stage of the Welsh Cup with an emphatic seven-wicket success at Alder Meadow today.
Pont won the toss and elected to bat, but were dismissed for a disappointing 109 in the 39th of their 40 overs.
Top scorer and skipper Rhys Jones (22 not out) saved the hosts from a worse embarrassment, making useful runs at number 10.
Star of the show for the Welfare was Tom Parry with 5-32 off 7.1 overs, Tom Crewe collecting a steady 2-17 from eight.
With a modest target to chase, Llay cruised to 111-3 in 27.3 overs, skipper Nathan Humphreys (29 no) and Crewe (16 no) putting on an unbroken 62 for the fourth wicket.
Ryan Dunning picked up 2-23 for the beaten hosts.
Also into the northern last four are Northop Hall and Menai Bridge.
St Asaph will host Colwyn Bay for the final north slot available next Sunday (1 pm) in what should be an absolute cracker.
