Colwyn Bay ease into next round of Welsh Cup with win at Mochdre

Matty Humphreys hit a 50 for Mochdre


MOCHDRE 168-10 (39) COLWYN BAY 171-2 (29.2)

Bay recorded a comfortable eight-wicket win at Mochdre in the Welsh Cup on Sunday.

Mochdre won the toss and elected to bat, finishing up 168 all out off 39 overs.

Skipper Matty Humphreys top-scored with 64, Sam Davies adding 34.

Former Mochdre player Adam Campion produced magical bowling figures of 3-10 off eight overs, Ryan Holtby collecting 3-45.

Bay breezed to 171-2 in the 30th over, Zack Gidlow hitting 13 fours in his knock of 68 not out off 71 balls, skipper George Johansen adding 45 and Campion there at the end on 34.
