Mold Cricket Club batting sensation Isaac Allen makes it two tons on the trot

The scoreboard tells the story as Usman Butt and Isaac Allen return to the pavilion at Prestatyn

Isaac Allen made it two centuries in as many matches for Mold Cricket Club on Tuesday night.

Playing in the Flintshire T20 Knockout at Prestatyn, Allen finished 100 not out, including five sixes, and Usman Butt was 54 not out as Mold set 163-0.

Richard Deniz then claimed two wickets as Prestatyn were limited to 98-7, Andy Taylor top-scoring on 46 not out.

In the opening North Wales League Division One match of the season at Llanrwst on May 1, the 19-year-old Allen struck 134 not out.

He had recorded five previous tons in league cricket, but this was his maiden century for the first team.

Mold’s firsts are next due in action at Pontblyddyn this Saturday.
