Mold Cricket Club reached the Flintshire Knockout final with a 35-run win over Connah’s Quay on Tuesday night.
Put into bat in this all North Wales League Division One battle, Mold amassed 156-6 off their 20 overs, boosted by a first wicket stand of 96 between Usman Butt and Isaac Allen.
Butt made 58 and Allen 51 in a perfect start for the Flintshire side.
Richard Deniz added 14, while Callum Miller picked up 3-28 for the Quay.
In reply, the Deesiders were limited to 121-8, Miller 29, Richard Deniz 2-27.
Mold CC chairman John Williams said: “I am really happy for our first team players to reach the final of the Flintshire Knockout competition. For many of them it will be a first final and I am glad to see them getting recognition as a good, young, up and coming side.
“The competition has been good to us in the past and provided us with some memorable evenings and I know our lads are looking forward to the final.”
