Goal machine Sion Parry set to join CPD Dyffryn Nantlle/ Nantlle Vale

Sion Parry in past action for Porthmadog

Prolific marksman Sion Parry is set to join ambitious Nantlle Vale.

It is believed the 23-year-old’s transfer from Bangor 1876 to Penygroes-based Vale will be completed within the next few days.

Nantlle managers Daniel Bell and Sion Eifion Jones have already brought in six new players this month: Dafydd Buckley Roberts, Llion Jones, Richard Jones, Huw Quaeck, Gavin Jones and Iwan Lane.

Those who have announced they are remaining at Maes Dulyn include Dion Roberts, Phill Warrington, Cai Parry, Tom Mahoney, Gethin Roberts, Sion Williams, Mathew Davies and Ashley Owen.

Sion Parry will be probably the highest-profile capture yet, given his amazing goal scoring record.

He has notched 291 career goals, the majority of them coming for Llanystumdwy, where he won the Gwynedd League golden boot four times outright and once joint.

Parry began last season at Porthmadog, where he netted four goals for the first team in the Cymru North before switching to 1876 in January, scoring nine times as the newly-formed club roared to the Gwynedd League title.
