Four games, four wins and top of the table in their first season since promotion – it could simply not have been a better start to the campaign for Gwynedd League leaders Trearddur Bay Bulls.

Richard Owen’s side maintained their 100% record with a 3-1 triumph at Llangoed tonight.

A cagey start from both teams saw the closest effort come from a knockdown header by centre-midfielder Hywel Jones.

The breakthrough arrived on 30 minutes as Bulls captain Iolo Jones put the ball back in the danger area only for the Llangoed keeper to push into his own net under pressure from Hari Jones.

Leading 1-0 at half time, Bulls did not feel they had yet got started. The start of the second half saw the visitors tweak their formation to a 4-4-2 and this immediately paid off.

Tom Hadley made it 2-0 with a fine finish after strike partner Gwynfor Williams’ initial effort was superbly saved.

Ten minutes later the points were sealed as Iolo Jones struck a half volley that flew into the bottom corner from 22 yards.

A 25-yard curling effort from Matty Roberts struck the woodwork before Hadley should have done better with a good chance created by John Jones.

Mathew Owens pulled one back late on for Llangoed, but the Bulls ran out worthy 3-1 victors.

Menai Bridge Tigers romped to a 5-1 victory at Bethesda Athletic.

The champions took the lead through Jordan Pritchard and it was 2-0 by half time, Tom Parry scoring with an absolute screamer.

Kieren Jeffreys pulled one back for Pesda soon after the turnaround, and the islanders could not feel safe until the final 10 minutes, Kev Roberts, Owain Roberts and Pritchard with his second all finding the net.

Ifan Gwilym, Carl Jones and Guto Roberts struck for Nefyn United in a 3-1 success over Waunfawr, Ioan Gwynedd replying, while Talysarn Celts whipped Llanystumdwy 4-1.

Peter Bridges, Luke Baum (2) and Celt Owen shared the Celts tally, Darren Parry on the mark for ‘Stumdwy.
