Stunning start to season for NFA striker puts club records in her sights

The North Wales women’s football goals chart this season features a familiar name on a great run of form who recently reached a magic figure for her club.
Amy Webster became just the second NFA player to hit 50 goals when she completed a hat-trick in an 8-2 victory at Towyn.
The 32-year-old has since added five more to her tally to make it nine goals in her last five matches.
NFA have made an encouraging start to the season, currently sitting third in the North Wales Coast Women’s League with a 100% record, while also qualifying for the last 24 of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup where they host CPD Pwllheli in the first round proper on November 15.
Webster has grabbed 55 goals in 79 appearances for NFA, a club she has been involved with since the start in 2021-22.
A very adaptable player who can excel in goal or in defence, she is perhaps best known as a striker and is certainly a standout in that role this season.
Just one player is above Webster in the NFA all-time goalscorers list – current team-mate Sade Benjamin, who has netted 62 goals in 71 matches for the Rhyl-based side.
Webster’s two best seasons to date in the sky blue of NFA were 2021-22, when she bagged 19 goals in 13 North Wales Women’s League games and 2022-23, when she notched 12 in 15.
The way she is performing at present, she could well be on the way to a best-ever total this season.
