Bob Brodie Trophy 2026-27: Parry still leads but McDaid edges closer
Jamie McDaid’s four-goal haul for Menai Bridge Tigers in Friday’s 6-1 win over Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs has lifted him up to second place in the 2026-27 Bob Brodie Trophy.
McDaid is now on 22 for the season, two behind leader Callum Parry of Trearddur Bay, who netted again in his team’s victory against Bethesda to hit the 24-goal mark.
Entering the chart this week is Holyhead Hotspur star Connor Owen, whose double in a 2-0 triumph over Buckley Town put him on seven for the season.
Owen was a joint-winner of the Trophy in 2024-25.
There was little overall activity in the chart at the weekend due to bad weather wiping out the majority of fixtures.
The 15th campaign of the Bob Brodie Trophy is gathering momentum.
Named after the late, great Bob, a highly-respected former player and manager on the island who sadly passed away in 2011, the competition has crowned some fantastic net-finders over the years.
Last season’s champion was Asa Thomas, the only player to lift the trophy three times and the all-time highest goal-getter in North Wales football history with 769 (and counting).
