Barry Wilding and skipper Dale Randall both made centuries as Chirk seconds extended their lead at the Division Eight peak to 79 points with a thrashing of second-place Pontesbury.

Wilding made a maiden ton and career best 118, while Randall posted 115, the pair putting on 243 for the second wicket as the visitors amassed 327-3 declared off 40 overs.

Opener Wilding struck 20 fours in his 112-ball effort, while Randall chalked up 18 boundaries in his 104-delivery knock.
Daniel Graham kept the runs flowing with an unbeaten 56.

Pontesbury seconds were then limited to 155-8, Randall completing a truly memorable day with 5-24.

The 100 runs and five-wickets combination in the same game is North Wales cricket’s dream double and it remains quite a rare occurrence, so well done Dale.
