NORTH WALES CRICKET LEAGUE REPORTS – SATURDAY, JULY 18

Bangor 1st XI 239-6 Mochdre 236-8 – Bangor won by 4 wickets

Francois Mostert’s match-winning knock of 97 guided Bangor to a four-wicket victory at home to Mochdre.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bat, posting 236-8 off 50 overs, Will Evans making 60, James French 55 not out and Josh McInyre 47.
Joe Maltby was the star bowler for Bangor, picking up 5-27 off 9.2, while Daniel Flynn took 2-30.
In reply, the home sde dipped to 37-2 before Nadeem Rehman (44) and Mostert put on 70 for the third wicket.
Bangor fell to 123-5 before Mostert and Smitt Parekh turned the tide with a sixth-wicket stand of 104.
Mostert went just three short of a ton, but Parekh was there at the end on 36 not out as the hosts reached 239-6 with four overs to spare, Owen Davies 3-43 and French 2-43 for Mochdre.

Denbigh 1st XI 228-10 Brymbo 1st XI 304-9 – Brymbo won by 76 runs

Dikshant Vairagi hit a commanding 137 as big-scoring Brymbo piled up a winning total of 304-9 at Ystrad Road.
Put into bat, the Steelmen’s innings was dominated by Vairagi who struck 17 fours and four sixes in his century, Connor Davies next highest with 37.
Ieuan Jones scooped 3-44 and Archie Sussex 2-23 for Denbigh, who were dismissed in response for 228.
Shaun Nash top-scored on 98 not out, while Andy Thomas added 35, Daniel Parry bagging 4-43 and Jack Williams 3-46 for victorious Brymbo.

Gwersyllt Park 1st XI 206-10 St Asaph 1st XI 207-2 – St Asaph won by eight wickets

Title-chasing St Asaph stormed to an eight-wicket win at Gwersyllt Park.
The Wrexham hosts called the coin correctly and opted to bat, compiling a score of 206 all out off 49.5 overs, Jamie Griffiths 33 not out, Joe Norman claiming 4-33 and Mathew Ryan 3-26 for the visitors.
Saints raced to 207-2 in 31.1, Evan Williams 65, Mathew Ryan 59 no, William Ryan 32 no and Kyle Williams 32, Neil Pearson 2-56 for Park.

Hawarden Park 1st XI 127-10 Mold 1st XI 326-5 – Mold won by 199 runs

Louis Boulton chalked up 106 not out in Mold’s mighty effort of 326-5 off 50 overs at Moor Lane.
Thomas North added 55, David Graham 50 and skipper Ewan Hill 48 for the away side, Ian Martin with 2-30 off 10 for Hawarden.
The home team were skittled out for just 127 in reply, Philip Bradfield 41, Graham 3-8, Jon Crane 3-30 and Munowar Samsodien 2-16 for resounding victors Mold.

Menai Bridge 1st XI 186-10 Northop 1st XI 187-3 – Northop won by seven wickets

Ikjot Singh Thind made a decisive 90 in an emphatic win on the road for Northop.
Inserted by the visitors, Menai Bridge made a modest 186 all out off 49.3, Matthew Jones 41, Tomos Davies 40 and W G Roberts 30. Bart Ryan-Beswick snapping up 3-38, Andy Poynton 2-16 and Ben Beaver 2-38 for the Flintshire side.
Thind then led the charge as Northop got home on 187-3 off just 29.1 overs, Richard Walker adding 61 in a second-wicket stand of 122 with the top batsman.
Dion Holden took 2-51 for a well-beaten Bridge.
