SHROPSHIRE COUNTY CRICKET LEAGUE REPORTS JUNE 7
Division One
Chirk 1st XI (20) 193-7 Quatt 2nd XI (6) 158-7

Skipper Liam Walker top-scored with 86 as Chirk recorded an impressive victory at home to Shropshire villagers Quatt on Saturday.
Put into bat, the hosts benefited hugely from a second-wicket stand of 112 between Walker, who hit 10 fours in his knock, and opener Oliver Gough, who notched 58.
At one point 157-2, Chirk slumped to 193-7 by the end of 35 overs, the allocation reduced because of the rain threat.
In reply, Quatt were never in serious contention for victory and ended up 158-7, Mark Shaw taking 3-33 for the home side, who bossed the points 20-6.
Division Seven
Guilsfield 2nd XI (21) 194-6 Chirk 2nd XI (5) 138-10

Chirk seconds lost by 56 runs at The LHG Oval.
Winning the toss and deciding to field in this 35-overs-per-side encounter, the visitors were unable to prevent Guilsfield seconds chalking up a very useful 194-6, opener Rupert Shingler with 50, young Harry Lunt claiming 2-28 off seven for the North Walians.
In response, Chirk seconds were dismissed for 138 in 33 overs, Harry Lunt with a defiant 35.
