1ST XI ECB PREMIER LEAGUE

Newton-le-Willows 1st XI (24) 199-2 dec Colwyn Bay 1st XI (1) 63-10

In a rain-affected clash at The Lane, Colwyn Bay’s batting crumbled.

Put into bat, Newton-le-Willows hammered 199-2 declared off just 26 overs, openers Ben Walkden and Nathan Hughes hitting 65 and 51 respectively, Dulanjala Mendis and Shay Williams grabbing a wicket apiece for the visitors.

In response, Bay were blown away in 27.3 overs for just 63, Matt Russell (22) and Jack Parry (16) the only players to reach double figures, Adnan Miakhel scooping 3-12 for the hosts, who took the spoils 20 points to one.
