Bangor 2nd XI (1) 72-10 Llanrwst (14) 166-9

A strong Llanrwst side expected to be challengers for promotion ran out comfortable winners at Ty Newydd.

Winning the toss and opting to bat, skipper Aron Hughes led the way with 45 and Scott Thomas made 29 as the Conwy Valley visitors set 166-9 off 45 overs.

Peter Jones picked up 4-39 and Ollie Dawson 2-26 for the hosts, who were then rolled over for just 72, Chris Barry (27) and Mehul Ahir (24) the only double-figure merchants.

Caron Williams scooped 2-4, Alwyn Williams 2-6 and Scott Thomas 2-13 for a dominant Rwsters attack.

Buckley 2nd XI (0) 86-10 Carmel and District (15) 210-4

Buckley battler Gary Mayers made 37

Captain Gwion Dafydd (69) and Matthew Isgar (62) stood out as Carmel posted a winning 210-4 off 45 overs at Lane End, Rhys Houghton 2-27 for the hosts.

Bucks were then dismissed for 86 despite a battling 37 from skipper and opener Gary Mayers.

Amer Jamil grabbed an outstanding 5-12 off seven for the visitors, Oliver Saynor 2-35.

Gresford 2nd XI (14) 183-2 Bersham (1) 182-10

Maneesha Ayomal Nissanka hit a magical 115 for a Bersham side put into bat, but the 182 all out they set was not enough to bring them victory.

Nissanka lacked support and much of that was down to a stunning spell of 6-31 from Gresford seconds’ Owain Walker, Harry Morris also shining with 3-5 off eight.

The home side comfortably reached 183-2 off 38.5 overs to seal an eight-wicket, 14 points to one success.

James Griffin ended on 75 not out, Lukas Pold was 50 no and skipper George Morris made 30, Santhu KJ with 2-29 for the visitors.

Hawarden Park 2nd XI (14) 155-2 Mold 2nd XI (1) 153-8

Craig Wilson struck a match-winning 80 not out for home side Hawarden Park seconds.

Mold seconds called the coin right and batted, recording a total of 153-8 off 40, skipper Chris Boulton making 44, John Williams 39 and Liam Roberts 34.

Boulton and Roberts put on 70 for the second wicket.

Nicholas Woods snared 3-30 and Haseeb Hanif Bikya 2-27 for the visitors, who coasted to 155-2 from 36.3.

Wilson’s knock was the biggest contribution, skipper Bikya adding 38.

Pontblyddyn 2nd XI (2) 85-10 Brymbo 2nd XI (13) 88-4

Table-toppers Brymbo seconds decided to insert the opposition and it worked as they had them all out for 85.

Jack Whitley pocketed 3-15, Jordan Williams 3-24 and Gareth Boys 2-14, while Dave Evans (30) did best for the hosts.

The Steelmen reached 88-4 in reply for a six-wicket, 13-2 victory, Gareth Pugh 22 no, while Osian Jones notched 2-1 for the home team.

St Asaph 2nd XI (2) 173-5 Mochdre 2nd XI (13) 246-4

Mochdre seconds were always in charge after they piled up 246-4 off their 40 overs.

Finlay Jones topped the chart with 93, Owen Opie struck 73, Daniel Phillips 31 no and William Opie 24 no, Elliot Morris 2-30 for Saints.

The home side finished on 173-5, Ieuan Jones 80 no and David North 38, Zachary Sardar 3-35 for the winners

DIVISION THREE

Bethesda 2nd XI (12) 187-10 Conwy 2nd XI (3) 138-8

Kevin Evans’ 87 off 68 deliveries inspired Bethesda seconds to victory at Parc Villa.

Evans hit 14 fours and two sixes as Pesda were bowled out for 187, Nick Davies claiming 2-22 for the visitors, who were then limited to 138-8, skipper Carwyn Thomas 51 not out, Kevin Evans completing a great match with 3-13, Robbie Spens 3-28.

Ruthin (14) 132-3 Llandudno 2nd XI (1) 131-10

After winning the toss, Llandudno seconds’ decision to bat did not serve them well.

Ajay Dhawan top-scored with 45 as the visitors were dismissed for 131, Duncan Roberts bagging 4-9 and Osian Roberts 3-21 for the home team.

Ruthin cruised to 132-3 off 27.2, captain Jamie Hughes heading the charge with 61 not out, Stephen Cheung 2-23.

DIVISION FOUR

Llanrwst 2nd XI (3) 82-10 Pwllheli (12) 83-7

Pwllheli’s senior XI now play in Division Four and they made hard work of eking out a victory at Gwydir Park on Saturday.

Put into bat, Llanrwst were all back in the pavilion for just 82, Adam Williams 3-17 and Ioan Morgan 2-6 for the visitors.

Pwll got to 83-7, Craig Edwards 23 and Adam Williams 23 no, Leon Doran shining with the ball for the hosts with 4-28.

Carmel and District 2nd XI (13) 157-4 Ruthin 2nd XI (2) 156-5

Skipper and number seven bat Huw Watson overshadowed all his team-mates with an unbeaten 66 in the Ruthin seconds score of 156-5 off 40 overs, Steve Scooter Jones 2-27 for Carmel seconds.

The hosts hit back with 157-4 in 30.1 to secure a 13-2 points verdict, Abdus Samed the key man with 82, Toby Unsworth 2-27 for the away team.

Abergele 2nd XI (15) Dolgellau 2nd XI (-15)

Dolgellau 2nd XI conceded.
