Bersham (4) 158-9 Bethesda 1st XI (11) 168-10
Although Bethesda made it eight straight wins they were given their toughest examination yet at Bersham.
Put into bat, Pesda were bowled out for 168, Nicholas Parry top-scoring with 45, while for the hosts, Nilanka Da Silva took 4-55, Suresh Lakmal Koswaththage scooped 2-13 and Maneesha Ayomal Nissanka 2-22.
In reply, Bersham finished 11 short of victory on 158-9 off their 40 overs, Nissanka standing out with 70.
Andrew Day landed 3-38, Carwyn L Williams 2-13 and Dylan Hughes 2-34 for the visitors, who took an 11-4 verdict.
Carmel & District 1st XI (4) 101-9 Hawarden Park 2nd XI (11) 111-9
Michael Almond’s sublime figures of 3-7 off nine overs did much to see off a Carmel side which is so often a tough nut to crack.
Hawarden Park 2nds batted first and posted a modest 111-9 off 40 overs, Aled Wilkinson 37, while for the hosts, Ieuan Jones grabbed 4-20 and Amer Jamil 3-23.
Carmel were then limited to 101-9, skipper Ben Sim best with 23, while offering good back-up to Almond were Nicholas Woods (2-15) and Imran Khattak (2-38). Ahmed Javed conceded just 11 runs off his nine overs.
Menai Bridge 2nd XI (15) 205-7 Clwb Criced Caernarfon (0) 60-10
Dion Owen proved an all-round star for a Menai Bridge 2nds team which claimed maximum points at Tyn-y-Caeau.
Owen hit 60 and skipper Ian Granger 36 as the hosts set 205-7 off 40 overs.
Ian Morgan pocketed 3-31 for Caernarfon, who were then blitzed out for just 60, Morgan hitting 28, Owen taking 4-19 and Granger 3-12.
Northop 2nd XI (15) 162-10 Gresford 2nd XI (0) 161-10
Leo Grieg and Tom Studder put on an unbroken opening stand of 162 to guide Northop 2nds to a crunching 15-0 points triumph at Flint Road.
Put into bat, Gresford were restricted to 161-9 with two innings standing out – 86 from skipper George Morris and 50 by Gez Jones.
Finn Jenkins pouched 3-29 and Kevin Owen 3-39 for the visitors.
Grieg (87 not out) and Studder (63 no) took just 28 overs to rattle Northop along to 162-0.
Ruthin (2) 157-8 Mochdre 2nd XI (13) 158-5
Opener Daniel Phillips’ crucial score of 69 not out ensured Mochdre 2nds took the honours at the Memorial Fields.
Hosts Ruthin were put in and set 157-8 off 40 overs, Dafydd Roberts 28 and Ifan Hanifa 27, new-ball pair Alex Davies 3-28 and Butlin Andrew 3-45 for the visitors.
Mochdre made it to 158-5 in 38.4 overs to seal a 13-2 points decision, Phillips the star turn.
St Asaph 2nd XI (1) 223-9 Mold 2nd XI (14) 304-6
Openers Luca Davies (112) and Craig Roberts (96) helped Mold 2nds register a mammoth 304-6 at Elwy Park Grove.
Elliot Morris collected 3-55 for St Asaph 2nds, who could only muster 223-9 in response, skipper Ben Murphy 73, Dominic Haynes 36 and John Williams grabbed 3-12 for the visitors.
