Bethesda (15) 192-7 Carmel & District (0) 91-9

Carwyn L Williams recorded his second century of the season for a Bethesda side which completed a sixth straight win in Division Two.

Table-topping Pesda, who hold a 28-point lead at the summit, won the toss and elected to bat at Parc Villa on Saturday.

And opener Williams totally dominated, scoring 123 out of a total of 192-7 off 40 overs. His innings came off 116 balls, including 14 fours and four sixes.

Ranjith Appuhamy picked up 3-21 for Carmel.

In reply, the visitors just missed out on a point, finishing 91-9 at the end of their 40. Ieuan Jones a stubborn 34 no.

Andrew Day grabbed 4-27 and Kevin Evans 3-21, while Carwyn L Williams completed a fine day with figures of nine overs, five maidens, one wicket for four runs.

Bersham (12) 108-7 Mold 2nd XI (3) 107-10

Suresh Lakmal Koswaththage stood out with bat and ball for Bersham, while Luca Davies did likewise for narrow losers Mold 2nds.

Mold were put in and bowled out for just 107, opener Davies by far the best contributor with 52, while Suresh scooped 4-20 from eight overs and Nilanka De Silva 3-5 from six.

Opener Suresh then top-scored with 33 as Bersham made it home on 108-7, Davies 3-22 for the visitors, Keith Embleton 2-22.

Hawarden Park 2nd XI (14) 176-7 Gresford 2nd XI (1) 76-10

Martin Hinton led the scorecard with 53 as Hawarden set a more than adequate winning total at Moor Lane.

Sam Burke picked up 4-37 for visitors Gresford 2nds.

The away side were then blitzed out for just 76, Tom Wilson 4-15 and Matty Blunden 3-15 for the home team.

Northop 2nd XI (14) 243-9 Mochdre 2nd XI (1) 157-7

Northop 2nds made the most of being asked to bat at Flint Road as they piled up 243-9 off 40 overs.

Bart Ryan-Beswick shone brightest with 55, Charlie Grieg made 48 and Paul Lindfield 36, skipper Jon Davies landing 4-58 for the visitors.

Mochdre could only manage 157-7 in reply, Graham Opie 42 no, Davies 39, Tom Sudder 3-22 for the Flintshiremen.

Ruthin (14) 154-9 Clwb Criced Caernarfon (1) 63-10

A big win for Ruthin who batted and posted 154-9, Joshua Duckworth 38 and Murray Whitehead 32.

Simon Davis collected 3-44, Jac Birch 2-2 and Ian Morgan 2-22 from nine for the visitors.

Caernarfon’s batting badly let them down as they nosedived to 63 all out, Jac Evans 4-22 and Matthew Duckworth 3-12.

St Asaph 2nd XI (3) 195-7 Menai Bridge 2nd XI (12) 199-6

Sam Bixby made a match-winning century as Menai Bridge completed a club double over Saints, their second team earning a four-wicket success at Elwy Park Grove.

Charlie Williams chalked up 51, Mike Thompson 38 and Gareth Jones 36 as the hosts reached 195-7 off 40 overs, Dion Owen 3-35 for the Anglesey side.

Menai reached the winning post with nine balls to spare, ending on 199-6, Bixby the star man with a commanding 118.
