Harrison Jones hit a crucial 76 not out as Northop Hall eased to an eight-wicket victory over Fleetwood Hesketh at Smithy Lane.
The visitors won the toss and batted, producing a total of 179-9 declared off 62 overs, Kieran New taking 5-97 from a testing 31-over spell. Darren Leach claimed 3-34 from 18.
After Hall lost their first wicket without a run on the board, Jones and Jac Kennedy (41) then put on 93.
Will Higginson (47 no) joined Jones and the pair formed an unbroken partnership for the third wicket, the hosts ending on 180-2 to secure a 24-3 points success.
COLWYN BAY (3) 94-10 NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS (20) 95-6
A bad batting display from Colwyn Bay saw them dismissed for just 94 after being put in at Penrhyn Avenue.
Siddiq Patel took 5-21 and Afaq Ali Sartaj 4-32 for the visitors, who themselves struggled before getting home on 95-6 for a four-wicket triumph.
Paul Jenkins pocketed 3-34 off 11 overs for the hosts.
1st XI SECOND DIVISION
PRESTATYN (23) 182-10 WAVERTREE (5) 84-10
Sheil Sethi’s 83 was the stand-out innings for Prestatyn as they posted 182 all out after being invited to bat at Beach Close.
Wavertree were then sent packing for 84, Sampath Perera again producing a remarkable spell of 5-9 off 10.1 overs.
Benjamin Hughes took an excellent 3-15 off seven overs, while Rohit Kaimal gathered 2-30 in a convincing home win.
2nd XI FIRST DIVISION
WAVERTREE 2ND XI (25) 94-3 NORTHOP HALL 2ND XI (2) 93-10
Choosing to bat proved an ill-advised decision for Hall seconds as they collapsed to 93 all out, skipper Liam Evans-Ford top-scoring with 33.
Wavertree cruised to 94-3 in 17.1 overs for a 25-2 points success.
