NORTH WALES CRICKET LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION REPORTS – AUGUST 9, 2025

Brymbo (18) 193-1 Bethesda (3) 191-10

Chris Taylor made a century for Brymbo

Joe Norman claimed a senior career best 5-30 for a Brymbo side which romped to a nine-wicket victory that puts them 12 points clear at the Premier peak.
Bottom side Bethesda won the toss and elected to bat, posting a respectable score of 191 all out off 40.2 overs, captain Carwyn L Williams top-scoring on 57, Nicholas Parry adding 42.
Norman’s 5-30 came off 10 overs, Dan Parry and Richard Deniz both picking up 2-37.
The Steelmen needed just 29.2 overs to reach 193-1, Chris Taylor hitting his third Premier Division ton of 2025, finishing 109 not out off 92 balls with 15 fours, Sam Aplin adding 33 and Johandre Barnard 29 not out.
Taylor and Aplin put on 93, with the century-maker adding an unbroken 100 with Barnard.

Conwy (3) 99-10 Northop (18) 295-7

After Northop amassed a huge total of 295-7 off 50 overs there was only ever going to be one winner.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, Jamie Northcott (71), Jordan Evans (62) and Matthew Williams (50) were the chief contributors in the visitors’ innings, Bailey Davies taking 3-51 and Alex Price 2-28 for the hosts.
Conwy were dismissed for just 99, Oliver Da Costa a defiant 53, Bart Ryan-Beswick 4-14, Evan Collett 3-7 and Thomas Hughes 2-20 for the Flintshire outfit.

Denbigh (5) 172-10 Bangor (18) 173-6

Nadeem Rehman produced a vital innings for Bangor

Nadeem Rehman’s unbeaten 88 was crucial in Bangor returning to winning ways at Ystrad Road.
Denbigh were put into bat and all removed for 172, Marko Van Voorst 49, Joe Maltby 4-26, Rehman 2-4 and Franco Kasner 2-36 for the visitors, who then reached 173-6 off 38.4.
Opener Rehman hit 16 fours in his decisive knock, skipper Rob Marshall making 35, that pair putting on 88 for the second wicket, Sam Lewis 2-33 and Joe Lewis 2-40 for the hosts.

Gwersyllt Park (18) 299-8 Menai Bridge (9) 267-10

Openers Kastun Stoute and Iroshan De Silva put on 145 for the first wicket to lay victory foundations for Gwersyllt.
Stoute struck eight fours and five sixes in his 98, while De Silva added 77 then Jack Billington posted 64 as the hosts reached a mammoth 299-8 off 50 overs.
Ashley Wood took 3-59 and Gethin Roberts 2-33 for the Bridge, who were all out for 267 in reply, openers Jack Gower a season’s highest 113 and Dion Holden 50 in a stand of 160.
The rest of the batting failed and Stoute completed a tremendous match with 6-39, and Billington bagging 2-48.

Mochdre (7) 223-10 St Asaph (18) 247-6

Duncan Midgley’s 100 exactly helped inspire St Asaph to victory away at the champions.
Saints elected to bat and set 247-6 off 50, Midgley hitting 11 fours and a six in his ton, sharing an opening stand of 127 with Kyle Williams (43).
Mathew Ryan made 31, while for Mochdre, Stewart Williams scooped 2-34, Andrew Swarbrick 2-40 and Adam Campion 2-48.
Will Norman’s collected a season’s best 4-33, Mathew Ryan 3-37 and Dan Evans 2-53 as Asaph dismissed Mochdre for 223 despite a fine effort of 79 from opener Marcus Mangiameli.
