West Indian Nathan Roett scored a club best 98 for a Halkyn side which ruthlessly disposed of visitors Brymbo seconds at Pant Newydd.

The hosts were put into bat and posted 209-7 off a reduced 41 overs due to rain.

Roett was out caught just two runs short of a maiden ton, while opener Ben Roberts made 43, Tom Emmerson taking 2-39 for the visitors.

The Steelmen could only manage 99-9 in reply, Nathan Lavender notching 3-16 and Alex North 2-16 for the emphatic winners.

Mochdre 2nd XI (2) 171-10 Mold (13) 172-4

Isaac Allen hit 77 not out for Mold

Skipper Isaac Allen finished 77 not out as leaders Mold continued their long winning streak at the expense of Mochdre seconds.

The home side were invited to bat and produced a decent total of 171 all out, Owen Opie with 74 and Stewart Williams 30, Mold’s Munowar Samsodien bagging 4-23, Lewis Pringle 3-30 and Allen 2-31.

The Flintshire visitors reached a winning 172-4 off 33.3 overs, Allen top-scoring and sharing in a stand of 99 for the fourth wicket with Richard Crane (33), Ewan Hill adding 29, while Russ Boswell pocketed 2-28 and Alex J Davies 2-48 for the hosts.

Bangor 2nd XI (1) 151-7 Pontblyddyn (14) 155-3

James Hughes struck a vital half-century as Pontblyddyn claimed a seven-wicket triumph at Ty Newydd.

Bangor seconds were put in and concocted a modest 151-7 off 40 overs, captain Jamie Davies 46, Vishwa Manawaduge scooping 3-23 and Ben Mason 2-21 for the visitors, who hit back with 155-3 from 37.2, opener Mason (48) forming a partnership of 108 with Hughes.

Gresford (4) 178-10 Llandudno (11) 181-9

Number 10 bat Jack Rimmington scored a crucial 22 not out in a last-wicket stand of 24 as Llandudno edged the narrowest of wins at Clappers Lane.

Calling the coin correctly and opting to bat, Gresford were all out for 178, Wes Evans best with 56, while for Tudno, Keegan Armstrong snared 3-29, Oliver Hughes 2-28 and Jack Rimmington 2-46.

Llandudno nosedived to 109-7 in response, Sam Rimmington 44 and Kevin James 34, and were then 157-9 when Jack Rimmington and Shana Kelly got together. Kelly survived eight deliveries and Rimmington got the runs as the visitors reached 181-9 off 37.4.

Ahmadzai Muhammad Wali snapped up 4-34 and Chris Ellwood 2-29 for the home side, but the points went Llandudno’s way 11-4.

Hawarden Park (11) 143-8 Dolgellau (4) 142-7

Skipper and opener Campbell Marr held Hawarden Park’s innings together with a pivotal 50 not out as the hosts squeezed home by two wickets at Moor Lane.

Dolgellau elected to bat and set a modest 142-7 off 45, Lafras Van Vuuren 52, Evan Shaw 2-23 and Ian Martin 2-27 for the home side.

In reply, Park reached 143-8 in the 37th over, Marr, with a generous tally of extras and useful support from Jac Williams seeing them to the finish line. Jaco Oosthuizen scooped 3-26 and Sion Francis 2-22 for the visitors.

Northop 2nd XI (13) 192-5 Connah’s Quay (2) 190-10

Quay were inserted by the opposition and finished 190 all out in the final over, Tom Hooson 37, Sion Ferguson 3-41, Mark Poynton and Darren Williams both 2-32 for the hosts.

Northop seconds sealed victory with 192-5 off 43.3, James Roberts 50, Leo Grieg 39 not out and Josh Griffiths 30, Rhys Stout 2-33 and Lee Davies 2-41 for the losing side.
