DIVISION TWO

St Asaph 2nd XI (3) 181-9 Pwllheli (12) 217-8

Craig Edwards had a day to remember for Pwllheli

Craig Edwards scored the first century of his career in an outstanding win for Pwllheli at Elwy Grove Park.
Edwards hit a dominant 120 as Pwll chalked up 217-8 off 40 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat.
Opener Adam Williams added 50 for the visitors, forming a match-deciding partnership with Edwards.
For Saints, Chetan Upadhyaya claimed 3-27 and Elliot Morris picked up 3-43.
In reply, the hosts lost four very early wickets and despite a recovery finished up well short of the target on 181-9.
Matt Owens hit a spirited 64 not out, while skipper Ben Murphy made 46.
Ioan Roberts (3-31), Kartik Bhardwaj (2-18) and Ioan Jones (2-29) did the main damage for the visitors, who triumphed by 36 runs.

On an afternoon which saw the top two teams beaten, Buckley celebrated a magnificent victory away to the leaders.
Harry Pooler (66) and Rob Storey (65) put on 146 for Corwen’s first wicket, but despite a further 32 from Jordan Williams, the hosts dipped to 218 all out.
Matthew Blunden bagged 3-43, Mathew Edge 2-41 and Ollie Fellows 2-45 for the visitors.
Buckley’s batsmen performed marvellously, reaching a winning 219-3 in 38 overs.
Club record run-scorer Rocco Franco made 68 before Chris Geary (71 not out) and Fellows (35 no) formed an unbroken stand of 63 for the fourth wicket to seal a memorable result.
Steff Lloyd scooped 2-15 for Corwen, but this was Bucks’ day.

Abergele (3) 129-10 Carmel & District (12) 161-9

After calling the coin correctly and opting to bat, Carmel set 161-9, Ryan Roberts the highest contributor with 27, David Moulson banking 3-33 and Edward Rooney 2-35 for Abergele, who managed just 129 in response, Nathan Aldridge hitting 65 off 51 balls but lacking support.
Jagath Magulagama was Carmel’s leading bowler with 3-18, Syam Sreedharan pocketing 2-6 and Maneesha Ayomal Nissanka 2-24.

Llanrwst (3) 162-7 Menai Bridge 2nd XI (12) 163-7

Opener Samuel Bixby’s 77 was the key knock for a Menai Bridge seconds side which triumphed off the final ball by three wickets at Gwydir Park.
Llanrwst set 162-7, Trefor Williams 57 and skipper Alwyn Williams 36, Sean Morris 2-11, Hari Williams 2-18 and Bixby 2-28 for the visitors.
Bridge got home on 163-7, Phil Smith adding 35 as support to main man Bixby.
Alwyn Williams notched 2-20 and Trefor Williams 2-29 for the Rwsters.

Llay Welfare (13) 149-4 Ruthin (2) 148-10

A comfortable six-wicket win for the home side.
Put into bat, Ruthin were bowled out for 148, Jamie Hughes 34, Llay’s David Phennah grabbing 4-40, Jacob Roberts 3-22 and Tom Parry 2-8.
The hosts responded with 149-4 off 27.5, Roberts 45, Jack Edwards 40 and Parry 31 not out.

Marchwiel-Wrexham (15) 267-6 Pontblyddyn 2nd XI (0) 129-10

George Forgrave’s commanding 138 not out helped Marchwiel and Wrexham set a total which was never to be challenged.
The hosts chose to bat and amassed 267-6 off 40, Forgrave’s dominant effort from 112 balls including 25 fours, Anthony Morris adding 39, George Matthias 3-27 for Pont, who were dismissed for 129, Forgrave following up his wonder innings with 3-7, Sam Shoemark 3-28 and Phil Oddie 2-21.

DIVISION THREE

Buckley 2nd XI (3) 155-10 Mold 2nd XI (12) 183-9

Skipper Liam Roberts’ 71 was crucial in Mold seconds posting a winning score at Lane End.
The visitors innings closed on 183-9 off 40 overs, Harry Sprowell 3-31 and Abbey Mayers 2-32 for the hosts.
Buckley were all out for 155 in response, Sprowell 43 and Joshua Murray 40, Lewis Pringle 3-25, David Graham 2-20 and Craig Roberts 2-26 for the travellers.

Clwb Criced Caernarfon (3) 189-5 Bersham (12) 220-5

Batters were on top in a game which saw visitors Bersham record a 31-run success.
Captain Farhan Abdulla (79), Amith Thilakarathne (43 not out) and Aneesh Pattali (34 no) were the chief performers as the Colliers posted 220-5 off 40 overs, Ian Morgan 2-38 and Paul Williams 2-40.
Caernarfon’s reply was restricted to 189-5, Morgan 57, captain Chris Moody 49 and Monis Altaf 31, Pattali 3-17 for the away side.

Conwy 2nd XI (0) 170-6 Bethesda 2nd XI (15) 301-2

Ashley Rowlands struck a career best 141 not out in Bethesda seconds’ mammoth total of 301-2 at Bodlondeb.
It was a first-ever century for Rowlands, his innings taking just 74 balls and including 14 fours and nine sixes. He put on an unbroken 216 for the third wicket with Richard Green (85 no).
Opener Paul Griffith added 32.
Conwy made 170-6, Robert Gater 44 not out and Toby Watson 30, John Maloney 3-47 for the Ogwen Valley victors.

Denbigh 2nd XI (15) 232-7 Gwersyllt Park 2nd XI (0) 123-10

Revenge for Denbigh seconds as they hammered a Gwersyllt Park seconds side which thrashed them by eight wickets seven days earlier.
Winning the toss and deciding to bat, leaders Denbigh smashed 232-7 off 40, Finlay Rooke-Hart 44 and Gerallt Lyall 35, Graeme Bell 3-29 for the visitors.
Park were sent packing in reply for 123, skipper Ben Griffiths 37, Darren Nixon 3-19, Dan Nixon 2-8, Will Schrimshaw 2-9 and Joe Threlfall 2-19.

Gresford 2nd XI (0) 87-10 Abergele 2nd XI (15) 89-1

Ajin Vijayan snared 4-21 and Barry Roberts 3-12 as Gele rolled over Gresford for just 87 and hit back with a winning 89-1 off 14.3 overs, Sebin Sebastion 40 no and Vijayan 39.

Hawarden Park 2nd XI (12) 172-6 Llandudno 2nd XI (3) 170-6

Daniel James (65) and David Barlow (57) helped Llandudno set 170-6, Haseeb Hanif 3-15 for Hawarden Park, who reached the winning line at 172-6 off 36.2, Aled Wilkinson 44, Daniel James notching 4-37 for the visitors.

DIVISION FOUR

Bersham 2nd XI (14) 236-7 Clwb Criced Y Bala (1) 144-4

Bibin Sunny led the charge with 89 not out and Thushardath Ep made 34 as Bersham seconds produced a mighty effort of 236-7, Jason Jones 3-32 and Paul Threlfall 2-36 for Bala, who were limited to 144-4, Threlfall 67 no, Thushardath Ep 2-23.

Carmel & District 2nd XI (15) Dolgellau 2nd XI (-15) – Dolgellau conceded

Halkyn 2nd XI (3) 180-10 Connah’s Quay 2nd XI (12) 217-6

Quay accumulated a testing 217-6, Cole Hooson 58, Rowan Entwistle 45, Aaron Pearson 34 and Jack Griffiths 32, Jack Hawkins 2-33 and Aaron Thomas 2-39 for Halkyn, who were then bowled out for 180, captain Marcello Carrino 50, Hooson 2-24 and Jake Chare 2-32 for the visitors.

Pwllheli 2nd XI (0) 53-10 Hawarden Park 3rd XI (15) 54-1

Vik Kumar took 3-4 and John Cooper 2-1 as Park blew Pwllheli away for just 53 and the visitors then eased to 54-1 off 13 for a 15-0 success.

Ruthin 2nd XI (3) 130-10 Mynydd Isa & Maeshafn (12) 164-9

An unbroken last-wicket partnership of 54 between Naseer Ahmadzai (33 no) and Vinay Shah proved crucial for Mynydd Isa and Maeshafn in their 34-run win at Ruthin.
Umang Desai earlier made 42 as the away side posted a total of 164-9, Alun Jones 3-13 and Simon Williams 3-15 for Ruthin seconds, who were all back in the hutch for 130, Ieuan Wynne Lewis 62, Desai bagging 3-34 for MI & M, Jonathan Fagan 2-11 and Aryaman Arora 2-16.

Sunday, July 13

Llanrwst 2nd XI (12) 158-10 Brymbo 3rd XI (3) 125-10

Opener Iwan Edwards was run out on 99 as Llanrwst seconds were dismissed for 158, Aled Edwards 3-9 for Brymbo thirds, who were sent packing for 125, Aled Edwards 31, Iwan Edwards completing a great game with 3-16 for the Rwsters, Gaz Jones 2-22.
