Premier Division

St Asaph (18) 184-10 Brymbo (3) 183-9

New leaders St Asaph maintained their unbeaten record with a 10-wicket thrashing of fellow high-flyers Brymbo at Elwy Park Grove.

Winning the toss and putting the visitors into bat, Saints restricted the Steelmen to 183-9 off 50 overs, Joe Norman’s 42 the only score of note.

Bowling-wise, Danny Ryan took 3-30, Dan Evans 3-40 and Eren Ranu 2-20 for the hosts.

Asaph’s reply was spectacular with Duncan Midgley hitting 94 not out and Kyle Williams 75 no as 184 was reached without loss in 33.4 overs.

Midgley struck 12 fours and three sixes, while Williams found the boundary 10 times.

Denbigh (6) 220-8 Gwersyllt Park (18) 223-5

West Indian Kastun Stoute produced a stunning display of power-hitting as his century guided Gwersyllt Park to one of their finest wins as a Premier side.

Invited to bat, Denbigh chalked up a very decent 220-8 off 50, Gerallt Lyall 63, skipper Harrison Jones 55 and Andy Clarke 31, Neil Pearson taking 4-43 and Iroshan De Silva 2-34 for the visitors.

Barbadian opener Stoute came out all guns blazing to deliver his finest knock for the club so far, cracking 110 off just 85 balls, hitting 11 fours and five sixes.

The right-hander shared in a third-wicket stand of 87 with De Silva (36) as Gwersyllt made it to 223-5 off 37.1, Ethan McCarthy (27 no) and Lewis Cole (14 no) guiding them over the line.

Ifan Jones scooped 2-36 for Denbigh, but Gwersyllt won the match by five wickets and 18 points to six.

Menai Bridge (18) 290-6 Conwy (4) 125-10

Canadians in the North Wales Cricket League must be a rare thing – but Menai Bridge have one and he’s quite a catch.

Ayush Verma scored an impressive century for Bridge in their crushing victory over Conwy at Tyn-y-Caeau today.

Bridge won the toss and batted, amassing a typically mammoth 290-6 off 50 overs, Verma hitting 101 off 89 balls with 12 fours and two sixes included.

Dion Holden (56), Jack Gower (49) and Edward Gadsby (32) added useful scores, the latter putting on 102 for the fifth wicket with the cricketing Canuck.

Patrick Jellery claimed 2-26 and Shaun Davies 2-45 for the travellers, who were then dismissed for 125, Patrick Glover 3-38, Holden 3-43 and Ashley Wood 2-15 off 10 to seal an emphatic win for the islanders.

Mochdre (18) 325-10 Bethesda (9) 196-8

A big win for Mochdre, but on the plus side for Bethesda they concocted their highest total of the season by far.

Left-hander run machine Will Evans led the charge with 117 of 92 balls, striking 17 boundaries and two maximums as the hosts piled up 325 all out.

Opener Marcus Mangiameli posted 60, Adam Campion 50 and James French 30 for the title holders.

Evans and Mangiameli formed a stand of 191 for the third wicket.

Sushant Thapa did best for the Ogwen side with 3-73.

Pesda had not managed three figures to date this season, but put that right today as they replied with a spirited 196-8, Daniel Oshyer with 52 not out off 45 deliveries, Tomos Davies 51 and Ben Parker 37, Matty Humphreys 3-45 and Mangiameli 2-32 for the hosts.

Bangor (4) 148-10 Northop (18) 150-7

Inserted by the opposition, Bangor finished at least 30 runs short of what could have been a winning total as Northop took the honours at Ty Newydd.

Franco Kasner made 52 and Nadeem Rehman 38 in the home side’s modest score of 148 all out, Bart Ryan-Beswick 6-18, Matthew Mullarkey 2-23 and Fabio Franco 2-25 for the Flintshire men.

Northop got home on 150-7 off 44, Andrew Oates with a vital 43 not out, Elliot Colclough 36 and Thomas Hughes 30, Smit Parekh 2-12, Idrees Ijaz 2-13 and Kasner 2-32 for the deposed leaders.
