New signing: Goal getter Seb Kidd aims to shine for CPD Y Rhyl 1879 in tier 3

He has a great goalscoring record in tiers 4 and 5 – now CPD Y Rhyl 1879 want to see new signing Sebastian Kidd deliver in tier 3.
The Lilywhites have announced the arrival of Kidd, a tall and bustling 29-year-old striker who they hope will inject a spark into their Ardal North West title challenge.
The new capture lands at Belle Vue Stadium from Acton of the tier 5 North East Wales League Championship, where he departs as the division’s top scorer with 22 goals overall.
Kidd first emerged at Brickfield Rangers in 2019-20, but it was in his first season at tier 4 Lex XI in 2021-22 where the front man really made his mark.
He netted a sensational 13 goals in his first six appearances for the North East Wales League Premier Division side and soon landed a move to Cymru North club Prestatyn Town.
After six first team outings with the Seasiders, Kidd returned to Lex, finishing the campaign with 17 goals from 16 matches.
In 2022-23, Kidd performed well again for the Wrexham-based Lawmen, firing 12 goals in 22 games.
After beginning 2023-24 at Stansty Park, Kidd left Lex and moved on to tier 5 Acton, where he notched 12 goals in 18 appearances that campaign.
This season has seen Kidd in his best form ever in front of goal. He hit 16 goals in just six games for Acton during August.
With a record of 22 goals in 15 appearances up to November 9, the NEWFL Championship top hitman has now decided to step up in class and join Rhyl 1879.
Lilywhites manager Paul Moore said: “Seb joins us having scored plenty of goals at his previous club.
“He is 6ft 6 and has a really strong build, he’s also quick.
“He’s stepping into this level and therefore may need a little time to adjust, but he will give us another option, strength in depth and will certainly stand out.”
