Young all-rounder Owen Reilly takes up exciting new role with Bangor Cricket Club

Young all-rounder Owen Reilly has taken up the post of Head of Junior Cricket at Bangor Cricket Club.
A club statement said: “Owen has been instrumental in helping improve the club’s junior cricketers with his amazing coaching, and we are over the moon that he will be be taking on even more responsibility.
“He steps into the role with immediate effect. We wish Owen all the best, and we know he has some amazing plans and ideas to improve cricket for all our amazing juniors.”
Owen, 21, from Holyhead, is a Wales international who rose to prominence in 2022.
He made his debut for Wales NC and picked up a couple of wickets (2-35) as the Welsh defeated Wiltshire in a three-day NCCA Western Division Two clash at Panteg CC.
Also a key member of the Wales NC North side, he stood out with 3-45 when the team lost their first competitive game away to Cumbria last year.

Holyhead man Reilly also took five wickets at Lord’s for a Cricket Wales select side against the MCC back in April 2022.
The all-rounder is a fast bowler and also an opening batsman for Bangor in the North Wales League Premier Division.
In August 2022, Owen scored his maiden century for Bangor’s first team, hitting 111 at Mochdre. His top score this season is 89 against Halkyn last weekend.
