The first ever matches in the new North Wales Cricket League East Division last Sunday saw both Northop and Northop Hall enjoy a double success.

Put into bat, Halkyn made 127-2 off their 16 overs with Heather Astley scoring 20, Jennifer Davies 16, Alison Thomas and Nicky Napper 10 apiece.
Buckley were limited to 103-2 in reply.
Halkyn won by 24 runs.

Bethesda are still top of the table despite suffering their second defeat of the season – by just one run against Llandudno Originals.
