LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH WEST

Rhostyllen 3 Flint Mountain 3

Bottom side Rhostyllen produced an astonishing comeback from 3-0 down to force a draw with title contenders Flint Mountain.

Kyle Smyth’s 26th minute goal – his 21st of the season – made it 1-0 to second-place Mountain at half time.

Ben Brierly added a second for Aden Shannon’s men on 51 minutes and when Gary Roberts notched a third with an hour gone, it looked all over.

However, substitute Tom Douglas’ reply for Rhostyllen on 82 minutes sparked a remarkable fightback.

William Roberts made it 3-2 in the 93rd minute and then Rhys Lloyd equalised on 99 – amazing stuff!

Rhostyllen are still without a league win in 16 attempts, but Saturday’s outcome must have felt as good as one.

Hawarden Rangers 1 Brickfield Rangers 2

Andy Vale’s 82nd minute goal won the day for the visitors.

Cameron Thomas nudged Brickfield in front in just the second minute, but Tom Gunson levelled in first half added time.

Vale made it 2-1 Rangers eight minutes from the end before Bricky’s Aiden Fox was shown a second yellow with 94 gone.

Llandudno Albion 2 Llay Welfare 3

Albion gave it their all but once again they were out of luck as Llay nabbed an 87th minute winner through Ryan Merrill.

Jonathan Collo handed Welfare a 10th minute lead and Scott Swords doubled the advantage on 27.

Albion never give in and after Dean Seager made it 2-1 on 59 from a Dave Maddock assist, Jack Atherton squared the match after 74, Joe Carey setting him up.

A draw would have been a fair outcome but Merrill’s late net-finder ensured Llay took the lot.

Saltney Town 0 Nantlle Vale 1

Sion Parry bagged the crucial goal in first half injury time that clinched Nantlle Vale maximum spoils at the Dragon Steel Stadium.

The result edged Sion Eifion Jones’ men up to seventh in the standings.

ARDAL NORTH LEAGUE CUP

CPD Y Felinheli 4 Llanrwst United 1

A Chris Beardmore own goal after three minutes set Felinheli on their way to an emphatic cup success at Cae Seilo.

Gruff John added a double on 39 and 55 minutes, Tomos Davies also making the scoresheet after 52.

Chris Nicolson notched a consolation goal in injury time for the Rwsters, whose manager Barry Owen described it as one of the team’s poorest performances in his long association with the club.
