DIVISION TWO
Menai Bridge 2nd XI (15) 35-0 Mochdre 2nd XI (0) 34-10
Promotion-chasers and outside title hopefuls Menai Bridge seconds took less than 23 overs to see off eight-player Mochdre seconds.
The visitors were put in and skittled out for just 34 in 18.4 overs, Liam Bibby picking up 3-16, Ian Granger 2-0 and Dion Owen 2-16.
Sam Bixby (20 not out) and Matt Bixby (12 no) guided the Bridge to 35-0 in four overs for a 15-0 points split.
With two rounds of matches each left, promoted Bethesda are on 260 points from 20 games, while Menai seconds have 245.
Bersham (11) 223-8 Clwb Criced Caernarfon (4) 207-5
Maneesha Ayomal Nissanka smashed a career best 152 as he totally dominated Bersham’s effort of 223-8 off 40 overs.
The other home batsmen did not cope too well at all with certain members of the Caernarfon attack, Ian Morgan standing out with 5-25 off nine.
The bottom-placed Cofis had a real good go in reply, finishing on 207-5 with Monis Altaf making 67, Dewi Hood 41 and Grant Peisley 40.
Hawarden Park 2nd XI (2) 114-10 Mold 2nd XI (13) 117-5
On a great day for Mold CC, their second XI emulated the firsts with a superb win at Hawarden Park seconds.
Aled Proffit took 3-18, Luca Davies 3-38 and Chris Boulton 2-29 as Mold bowled out the hosts for just 114, Imran Khattak best with 36.
The visitors hit back with 117-5 off 24, James Griffiths 37 no, Daniel Williams 25 and Nicholas Woods 3-24 for the beaten home team.
Northop 2nd XI (11) 165-5 Carmel (4) 159-9
Darren Williams’ 103 was not only top-class but also hugely vital in the context of the game at Flint Road, with hosts Northop seconds winning by just six runs.
Veteran Williams was very much the star turn as Northop posted 165-5 off 40 overs, Amer Jamil 2-17 and Ieuan Jones 2-26 for the visitors.
Despite some great hitting down the order, Carmel just missed out on their victory target, ending 159-9.
Stephen Skates struck 35 and Lee Rowles 32 for the village side, Joe Griffiths grabbing 4-24 for the hosts, while Williams completed a fine match with 2-18.
St Asaph 2nd XI (1) 184-10 Gresford 2nd XI (14) 187-3
Gresford seconds skipper George Morris boosted his league runs tally for the season to 920 with a superb century at Elwy Park Grove.
Saints chose to bat and made 184 all out, David Lloyd 73 and Dominic Haynes 57 producing great knocks, Harry Morris 2-13 for the visitors.
George Morris then finished 104 not out as Gresford eased to 187-3, James Griffin 34 no and Sam Burke 32.
