Connah’s Quay (11) 217-9 Abergele (4) 213-9

A high-scoring affair at Central Park ended in a single-wicket victory for hosts Connah’s Quay.

Visitors Abergele won the toss and opted for first knock, finishing 213-9 in 44 overs.

Gareth Edwards made 31, Wasim Ali and Jismon Ty added 30 apiece, while extras came to 44.

Lee Davies took 3-20 off nine overs for the Quay.

Good batting up the order from skipper Tom Hooson (42), Darren Jones (39) and Joshua Clarke (38) put the Deesiders in a strong position, but wickets fell in the middle order and vital runs from last pair Chris Boden and Davies saw the hosts to 217-9 in 42 overs.

For Gele, Ty took 2-17, Ali 2-23 and Ben Garnett 2-24.

Denbigh (12) 201-9 Gwersyllt Park (3) 155-9

Leaders Denbigh made it six wins on the bounce and top the table by a 16-point margin after seeing off Gwersyllt at Ystrad Road.

Put into bat, the hosts set 201-9 off 45 overs, Andy Clarke best with 52, while Wales NC North player Harrison Jones made 42.

Lewis Cole scooped 3-13 from nine and Dan Jones 2-27 for the visitors, who were then limited to 155-9, Cai Pearson 35, Stuart Griffiths 2-15, Joe Lewis 2-20 and Alec Lewis 2-22 for the home team.

Dolgellau (1) 99-10 Halkyn (14) 100-2

Skipper Ben Roberts shone with bat and bat as Halkyn continued their fine start to 2022 with an eight-wicket triumph at The Marian.

Alex North snapped up 3-2, Nathan Lavender 3-32 and Roberts 2-20 as Dol were dismissed for just 99 after choosing to bat.

Roberts then posted 60 not out as Halkyn took their time in getting to 100-2 in 34 overs.

Llanrwst (2) 77-10 Conwy (13) 78-4

Bowling stars Tom Plank (4-18) and Evan Williams (4-30) put Conwy on the victory path as they rolled over Llanrwst for just 77 at Gwydir Park.

The home side’s decision to bat first proved fruitless as the visitors then reached 78-4 to complete a six-wicket, 13-2 points win, Adam Thomas collecting 3-45 for the Rwsters.

Marchwiel and Wrexham (3) 91-10 Hawarden Park (12) 95-6

Chris Geary’s 33 not out proved priceless for Hawarden Park in their four-wicket win at Marchwiel Hall.

The home team were sent packing for just 91, Tom Norris 3-10 and James Martin 3-26 for the visitors.

In reply, the Park slumped to 29-4 and 40-5 before Geary led the recovery and the visitors eventually made it to 95-6.

Sion Edwards (2-11) and Scott Lawrenson (2-19) had put Marchwiel and Wrexham in with a shout of an unlikely victory.
