PREVIEWS

ADRAN TROPHY

The New Saints v Connah’s Quay Nomads (1 pm)

Should be a cracker at Park Hall as Adran North title challengers Nomads test themselves against Adran Premier outfit Saints.

Adding spice to the occasion will be the fact Quay’s recent signing Francesca Scott, who has already netted 13 times for the club, will be up against her former team-mates.

Wrexham v Swansea City (2 pm – at Brymbo Sports)

Unbeaten in 14 matches – 13 wins and a draw – Adran Premier leaders Swansea City are set to travel up north to take on Wrexham.

These two shared some great Welsh Premier tussles back in the day, but these are much-changed times.

Wrexham are currently third in tier 2 Adran North with five wins in seven matches.

In Rosie Hughes, they have North Wales senior football’s leading scorer with 26 goals, but there is plenty more talent in Steve Dale’s squad.

NORTH WALES WOMEN’S FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Northop Hall v Llangefni Town

All the games have been called off in the league except one.

This one may have been called off already…information is not always freely given.

If it ends up being on, it should be worth watching.

The Hall are coming off the back of a great 2-2 draw at unbeaten Rhyl 1879.

The Flintshire side also won 4-0 at Llangefni back in September.

However, there are just three points between the teams and Cefni have shown often this season they can be tough to beat.

On the form book, Northop Hall will be favourites, but things do not always go according to the script.
