Kirsty Buckley struck twice and Amy Conway-Williams continued her return from injury with a goal as Llysfaen recorded a win over a hard-working Mynydd Isa side on Thursday night.

In a competitive match played over three periods, Llysfaen were on the front foot from the off and took a 2-0 lead.

Kirsty struck the first after a good move and got the final touch for number two.

The defence was organised and Sophie Heap pushed higher up the pitch to join Hayley Gibson in the midfield.

The second period started with the same intensity with Anna Jones and Amy seeing a lot of the ball. Hayley and Sophie were driving the midfield.

Mynydd came into the game and had more possession, forcing Georgia Davies into some good saves.

Lionesses pushed forward and Amy finished superbly to make it 3-0.

Georgia made a fine stop from a Laura Clarke penalty for Mynydd.

Lyn Amber went in goal for the final period and made some great stops. Jodie marshalled the defence superbly getting her head on all the high balls. Another blockbuster shot from Gemma Crutchlow-Porter whistled over the bar,

Sophie Heap was player-of-the-match for a superb all round performance.

Sarah Lowri got a well-deserved goal back for Mynydd, while Laura Clarke was their PoM.
