Flint Town United sign twice Tier 2 title winner

Flint Town United have strengthened their squad with the addition of Kelsey Davies, a two-time Adran North title winner with Llandudno.

Kelsey, 29, developed her talents as a youngster for Kinmel Bay Girls, with whom she reached the 2012 Under-16 Welsh Cup final.

She signed for Welsh Premier Women’s League side Llandudno as a senior and went on to be one of the club’s finest-ever players.

Kelsey was part of the team which made it to the 2015-16 Welsh Cup Final and also did much to ensure Tudno maintained top league status for seven full seasons.

After the Seasiders resigned from the WPWL in 2019-20, Kelsey moved to Wem Town, a semi-professional club in the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands.

She was part of the same successful team as Laura Pennington which lifted the Shropshire Women’s County Cup.

Kelsey returned to Llandudno in 2021-22 and was in the squad crowned inaugural Adran North champions that season, although she missed much of the campaign with injury.

She repeated that title success with the Seasiders in 2023-24, bagging 15 goals in 11 league appearances, finishing second-highest in the competition.

From 2021-22, Kelsey made 70 appearances for Llandudno, netting 49 goals, before deciding to move to the Essity Stadium.

A right winger with pace to burn, her goal scoring skills have also served her well over the years, especially in more recent campaigns.
