Connah’s Quay 2nd XI (2) 172-10 Clwb Criced Caernarfon (13) 173-4

Monis Altaf starred with bat and ball as Caernarfon enjoyed a cracking six-wicket victory at Connah’s Quay 2nd XI.

Winning the toss and putting the Deesiders into bat, the Cofis limited their hosts to 172 all out.

Darren Jones concocted an excellent 70 not out, while Wes Gillam made 33 before retiring.

Huw Erddyn Davies snapped up 3-25 for the visitors, Altaf an outstanding 2-15 off eight and Grant Peisley 2-26.

Altaf then struck a decisive 66 not out as Caernarfon reached 173-4 off 37.3 overs, opener Peisley adding 33.

Abergele 2nd XI (0) 41-10 Buckley 2nd XI (15) 157-10

Fourteen-year-old Romano Franco made a maiden half-century for Buckley 2nds in a magnificent win at Abergele.

Bucks called the coin correctly and decided to bat, Romano making 53 in a total of 157 all out, Sam Booth adding 25.

For the hosts, Rick Ashby claimed 4-25 and Anthony Howe 3-22.

Buckley were then razor sharp in their bowling and fielding as they skittled out Gele for just 41, three run outs among the dismissals, while Mike Wooton grabbed 4-4 off seven overs, Jack Gibson 2-14.

Clwb Criced Conwy 2nd XI (0) 65-0 Hawarden Park 2nd XI (15) 68-0

Michael Almond took a stunning 6-9 off eight overs as Hawarden removed all of Conwy’s batsmen for a mediocre 65.

Nicholas Woods also scooped 2-8….all this after Conwy chose to bat, Graham Heath with a defiant 24.

Openers Owen Skillander (34 not out) and Martin Hinton (16 no) then guided the visitors to 68 without loss and a 15-0 whitewash.

Gwersyllt Park 2nd XI (1) 86-9 Pontblyddyn 2nd XI (14) 89-2

Outstanding bowling from Pontblyddyn 2nds limited the hosts to a totally reachable score.

Fraser Keay (3-14), Daz Wilcock (3-15) and David Brilley (3-16) were the chief heroes as Gwersyllt were kept down to 86-9, but tight spells from Ethan Roberts and Ryan White also assisted nicely.

Pont then eased to 89-2 in 20.1 overs, Tom Dawson (28 not out) and Chris Myles (24 no) with the 50 partnership that sealed the match.

Pwllheli 2nd XI (10) Corwen (-15)

Corwen conceded.


Mynydd Isa & Maeshafn 2nd XI (15) 166-7 Carmel and District 2nd XI (0) 28-10

The high-flying hosts bowled out their visitors for a meagre 28 after setting what proved to be more than enough to scoop all 15 points on offer.

Put into bat, MI & M chalked up 166-7 off their 33 overs, Will Webster top-scorer with 37, Dave Markey and Stuart Applewhite both 27, Noah Murray-Jones 2-21 and Dafydd Timothy 2-32 for the away team.

Tom Hall poached 5-12 and Markey 2-2 as Carmel were all back in the hutch in 22 overs.

Dolgellau 2nd XI (14) 100-2 Halkyn 2nd XI (1) 97-10

An eight-wicket success for Dolgellau over their Flintshire opponents.

Halkyn were put in and bowled out for 97, Daniel Williams a stoic 42, Morgan Yorke 3-19 and Ellis Rogers 2-23 for the hosts, who then cruised to 100-2 in just 14.1, Yorke completing a great match with 67 not out.

Hawarden Park 3rd XI (4) 72-10 Ruthin 2nd XI (11) 78-10

A thriller at Dodleston Cricket Ground ended in a six-run win for Ruthin.

Ieuan Wynne Lewis (32) was the only double-figure scorer apart from extras with 25 as Ruthin managed just 78 all out, Robert Goodwin a marvellous 6-13 for the Park.

Hawarden were then all removed for 72, Craig Wilson left stranded on 21 not out, hero Jonny Clayton 3-4 off nine overs, Osian Roberts 3-16 and Matthew Duckworth 2-11 for the winners from the Vale of Clwyd.

Llandudno 2nd XI (13) 82-4 Llanrwst 2nd XI (2) 81-7

All-rounder Andrew Christian was star with bat and ball in this six-wicket victory for Llandudno.

Christian took 3-10 off nine overs and Tom Bleasdale 2-4 from nine as the Rwsters came up with 81-7 from 40, Daniel Jones 23 not out.

Just 18.5 overs were needed for Tudno to score a winning 82-4, Christian 25 not out, Gaz Jones 2-11 for the visitors.

Bethesda 2nd XI (10) Rhewl (-15)

Rhewl conceded.
