Clwb Criced Bae Colwyn and Clwb Criced Conwy were joyous winners on the opening day of the first-ever North Wales Women’s Cricket League season.
Only two of the six scheduled games survived the wet weather which cast gloom over Wales on both Saturday and Sunday.
Teams start with 200 runs. They then add the runs they score to the 200 with five taken off for every wicket they lose.

Colwyn scored 120-2 from their 16 for a net total of 310, securing a 76-run victory.
There were 68 extras, while Smith led the way with the bat, notching 13 runs.
Erin Deering took 2-29 for Llandudno.

Much closer at Bodlondeb, where Northop were invited to bat and posted 72-4 for a net score of 252.
There were 45 extras and Jane Williams headed the batting chart with seven runs.
Emma Leighton-Jones hit 14 and Llinos Hill 10 as Conwy made 89-4, benefiting from 46 extras, for a net tally of 269, sealing a 17-run victory.
Bella Williams took 2-14 for the Flintshire side.
