North Wales Cricket League Divisions 1-4: Jason Parry claims remarkable 8-16 in emphatic Caernarfon victory
Clwb Criced Caernarfon stormed to a 15-0 win in Division Four

Division One

Gwersyllt Park recorded a seven-wicket win in a rain-interrupted encounter at Llanrwst in Division One of the North Wales Cricket League.

The 10-man Rwsters opted to bat first and were all out for 168 in 45.4 overs, Callum Jones scoring 33 and Alex Evans 29, while extras totalled 30.

Jake James was GP’s top bowler with 4-41 off 12 overs, Michael Griffiths with 2-44.

With rain causing interventions, Gwersyllt were set a revised target of 94 in 20 overs and eased to 95-3 from 12,2, James completing a fine match with 52 to seal a 13-2 victory in the division’s only completed contest.

Division Two

Halkyn breezed to a 10-wicket triumph at Corwen in double-quick time, 27 all out playing 31-0 meaning a 15-0 result for the visitors.

In a match that lasted less than 34 overs in total, and therefore managed to beat the weather, Alex North snared 4-1 and Ben Roberts 4-17 off 10 overs for the Flintshire outfit.

Halkyn then took just 6.1 overs to reach their target and now edge to within a point of leaders Bangor 2nds in second spot.

Division Four

Jason Parry claimed a remarkable 8-16 as Clwb Criced Caernarfon coasted to a 10-wicket win over Rhewl.

The visitors were all out for 60 in 33.5 overs, and the Cofis took just 10.2 overs to reach 61 without loss, skipper Huw Erddyn Davies 31 not out and Parry 23 no.

Dolgellau 2nds were convincing six-wicket winners at home to Ruthin 2nds.

Dave Jenkins scooped 4-21, Iwan Parry 4-34 and Richard Rees 2-26 as the travelling side were dismissed for 84, Alun Jones and captain Jamie Hughes scoring 24 apiece.

Dol took just 18.4 overs to make it to 86-4, Stuart Evans topping the chart with 37, Mike Evans grabbing 4-38 for Ruthin. Points: 13-2.

Alex Owen top-scored with 63 and Jake Sumbland added 34 no as Llandudno 2nds set 182-7 off 40 overs at Llangollen, Bryn Sheppard 3-49 and Richard Hughes 2-13 from nine overs for the hosts.

Llangollen were all out for 152, Gethin Williams 32, Oliver Hughes 3-22 and Jack Thornton 2-34 for the visitors, who triumphed 12-3 on points.
