Brymbo 2 Cefn Druids 6

These teams once both campaigned in the Tier 2 Cymru Alliance.
Druids also spent a number of seasons in the Welsh Premier, reached the Welsh Cup Final and played in Europe.
However, tougher times came along and now these two illustrious names compete in Tier 5 of the Welsh pyramid.
Nonetheless, their respective names will always mean something and they produced an entertaining eight-goal derby on Saturday.
In the week of his 50th birthday, Brymbo’s Ricky Evans, a legend of more than 400 Welsh Premier appearances, scored twice, one a penalty, and also missed from the spot.
This was Druids’ day, however, Portuguese Helder Ramos netting twice, Chad Humphreys (pen), Jake Harper, Edgar Lima Teixeira and Jacque Coates one each.

Overton Recreational 1 Holywell United 1

Dylan Mackie edged Holywell ahead in first half stoppage time, but a Harrison Plumb leveller on 62 minutes salvaged a point for Overton. Plumb also missed a first-half penalty.

CPD Sychdyn United 4 AFC Deeside 0

Joe Robins, Ewan Whitley, sub George Davies and Shay Davies all made the scoresheet in this emphatic victory for Sychdyn.

CPD Yr Wyddgrug 6 Ruabon Rovers 1

Joseph Harrison (3, 1 pen), Ruari Wood, Luca Scott and Toby Vickery, who also provided three assists, inspired Sychdyn to a home thumping of Rovers, Joe Stephenson responding.

DIVISION 1

Acton 2 Penyffordd Lions 1

Goals from Alix Godfrey and Jack White (penalty) earned Acton a fine win over second-placed Penyffordd, captain Marcus Davies replying.

Greenfield 0 Castell Alun Colts 2

Joseph Cunnah and sub Taylor Kendrick bagged the goals which secured Casty the honours.
Deep into injury time, Greenfield captain Ethan Evans was shown a ridiculous red card.

Lex XI 1 Coedpoeth United 1

Rob Reynolds’ 88th minute equaliser denied hosts Lex XI three points.
Jimmy Ellina had edged the Lawmen ahead in the 58th minute via a Seb Kidd assist.

Rhostyllen 0 Rhydymwyn 0

Rhostyllen remain top and unbeaten but they were frustrated on Saturday by a determined Rhydymwyn who defended for their lives and deserved a share of the points.
Simon Sedgwick’s table-toppers created a number of chances, but were unable to put them away.

Saltney Town 2 Aston Park Rangers 2

New signing Riley Edwards marked his debut with a goal for Aston Park in a highly creditable draw at the Dragon Steel Stadium.
Saltney struck through Jack Radford and Jay Wiles (pen), but Rangers replied via Edwards and Kallum Pierce from the penalty spot. This match was covered in depth by Grassroots North Wales on Saturday.

Deeside Dragons 0 CPD Cei Connah 6

Mitchell Williams scored three goals and supplied a hat-trick of assists for dominant Cei Connah at Shotton.
Galilieo Gomes and Paddy Sam Jones also made the away team scoresheet.

CPD Gronant 10 Marchwiel Saints 0

Jonny Mee pocketed a hat-trick as Gronant rattled up 10 of the best at home to developing new side Marchwiel.
Nick Sutherland (2), Ashley Andrews, captain Aidan Bell, Wayne Edwards, sub Josh Williams and an own goal made up the rest.

Skippy 5 Bellevue 1

Jason Ratcliffe (2), Kian Tudor, Joao Da Silva and captain David Hughes shared the goals for Skippy, Evans Soriweh with Bellevue’s consolation.

Wrexham Foresters 0 Mostyn 1

Morgan Evans notched the 58th minute goal which ensured comebacking Mostyn won their first league encounter of the season;.

Broughton United Reserves 5 CPD Rhos Aelwyd Reserves 1

Ethan Foden and Congo striker Ernest Isay delivered a double apiece for Broughton, sub Zane Apsley-Jones adding a single.

Connah’s Quay Town XI 0 Llay Welfare Reserves 3

Harry Roberts (2) and Rhys Halliwell were the toast of Llay after their goals sank Connah’s Quay Town.

Penycae Reserves 2 Brickfield Rangers Res 5

Kian Davies (3) and Alex Palmer were among the scorers at Brickfield Reserves began their league schedule in winning style, Josh Hughes and Austin Owen on target for the hosts.

RESERVE DIVISION 2

Cefn Albion Reserves 1 Saltney Town Development 2

Dario D’Abreu’s 28th minute goal gave Albion the lead, but Saltney battled back to win the points.

Holywell United Reserves 1 Ruthin Town Colts 2

Ian Williams and captain Reece Prescott gave Ruthin a two-goal lead before sub Kien Williams pulled one back for Holywell, who had Finley Probert dismissed after the final whistle for two yellow cards.

Penyffordd Lions Reserves 4 CPD Sychdyn United Reserves 0

Hat-trick hero Matty Holmes guided Penyffordd to a convincing win over Sychdyn, captain Paul Jones also on the mark.
