NWCFA INTERMEDIATE CHALLENGE CUP ROUND 2

Conwy Borough 2 CPD Cerrigydrudion 1

Ronnie Green’s first game as manager of Conwy Borough was a happy occasion as the Tangerines troumphed 2-1 over Cerrigydrudion in the NWCFA Intermediate Challenge Cup.
Alex-Romio Kenamuinjo and Connor Morris provided the goals for the hosts, Tirion Griffiths replying for the visitors.
Green has added three new signings so far, including Kenamuinjo, who joins from the manager’s former club CPD Y Rhyl 1879.
Also on board are James Trevis, who signs from Broadheath Central of the Cheshire Football League Premier Division, and also brings experience from playing both in the UK and overseas, plus Jack Williams, a hard-working centre forward with a proven eye for goal. Williams is a familiar face at Y Morfa and brings plenty of experience, energy and attacking threat to the squad.

Cemaes Bay 3 Llandudno Junction 1

Freddie Naylor gave Junction a first-minute lead at School Lane, but Cemaes fought back to win with goals from Matt Reynolds in the opening half, then Tom Wood and Cian Owen (penalty) after the break.
Junction played with 10 men from the 40th minute after Cai Adams received a red card.

CPD Llanberis 2 St Asaph City 3

Ryan Potts, Josh Brown and James Williams delivered the goals which sent Saints through at the expense of Llanberis, who hit back through captain Kurt Hellfeld and sub Ryan Allsup.

CPD Llansannan 2 Llanfairfechan Town 5

A seventh straight victory for Llanfairfechan was achieved through goals from Dylan Edwards (2), Cynan Edwards (2) and 13-goal top scorer Harry Croston.
Meilir Williams and captain Gwion Bibby provided consolations for Llansannan.
