Table after matches played Wednesday, May 6
A rare Sunday match in the Ardal North West League, but it certainly turned out to be to Llanrwst’s liking.
The Rwsters made it just one defeat in their last eight league matches after seeing off Llangefni 5-2 at Parc Gwydir.
United were on fire in the first half, establishing a 4-0 lead through goals from Chris Nicolson, Callum Parry, Sam Thomas and Osian Williams.
The scoreline did not change until the 87th minute when skipper Parry netted his 33rd goal of another brilliant season.
Late consolations from sub Gethin Thomas and Dion Jones’ 21st goal of the campaign at least brought Cefni some reward for their long journey.
David Lawson-Cooke’s 89th minute equaliser rescued a point for Llannefydd in this third versus second battle.
Rhys Alun Williams edged Port ahead in the 24th minute from a Zac Pike assist, but captain Tomos Jones equalised before half time from the penalty spot – his 14th goal of 2025-26.
Port regained the lead on 78 when sub Osian Evans delivered his 20th goal in 18 appearances for the Eifionydd side, but Lawson-Cooke ensured it ended 2-2 when he finished off a Mathew Jones assist.
Two promoted teams who have found the going tough in Tier 3 but survived the drop met at Argoed on Satirday.
Cayden Hazeldine’s first half effort gave Mynydd Isa the edge, but Adam Hold equalised on 53 and Toby Jones supplied the 90th minute decider for Phoenix.
Hari Lambe’s strike in first half added time gave Pwllheli an interval lead over the champions.
However, the Citizens roared back in the second half, levelling on 46 minutes when a high ball from deep on the right into the box from Logan Williams prompted a sublime left-foot first-time lobbed finish from Corrig McGonigle.
It was the master marksman’s 44th goal of the season in all competitions and surely ranks as one of his very best.
Captain Tom Clarke volleyed home powerfuly from a corner to make it 2-1 to the Citizens on 67 and Jack Smith added a third in the 96th minute, running from his own box into the opposition area to apply a composed finish from a Connor John assist.
The result ensured Bangor City 1876 set a new points record of 83 for the Ardal Northern Leagues.
A seventh draw in 12 matches for Prestatyn who are unbeaten over those dozen fixtures.
Robbie Parry fired the Seasiders into an 11th minute lead, but Byron Davis equalised on 14 with his 28th goal of the season – a magnificent effort from the 18-year-old.
Both sides could have won it, but it ended all-square. Prestatyn had already clinched fourth spot in the table.
