NOVIRA CYMRU PREMIER – REPORTS AUGUST 31

Colwyn Bay 2 Llandudno 0

A magnificent crowd of 2,037 was at the Blue Turtle Arena to see Colwyn Bay claim local bragging rights with a two-goal victory over top-flight new boys Llandudno.
The Seagulls took a 38th minute lead when a corner from the left arrived at the left foot of captain Sam Hart who drilled in the opener.
The second home goal came on 70 minutes when Declan Poole broke from deep in his own half before his low cross was poorly dealt with by Tudno’s defence and Adam Davies lashed high into the net.
It was rumbling in the jungle and Mowgli was swinging high!

Airbus UK Broughton 6 Holywell Town 2

Ruthless Airbus hit their opponents for six at the Hollingsowrth Group Stadium.
The Wingmakers led 3-1 at halt time courtesy of goals from Joseph Palmer, Joshua Stevenson and Mason Blackwell-Jones, Florian Yonsian replying.
When Yonsian converted a penalty on 63 to make it 3-2, it looked as if the 435 crowd were in for an interesting second half, but two goals in as many minutes always immediately via George Peers and Kaiden Cooke put Mark Allen’s men in total control.
Cooke scored again before the end, a sixth straight defeat leaving Holywell rock bottom and leaking goals at an alarming rate.

Caernarfon Town 2 The New Saints 3

Trailing 2-0 in the first half, Caernarfon pulled one back before the break and then levelled in the second period, but Saints are not champions for nothing and it was they who grabbed the decisive fifth goal to win the match.
Ben Wilson and Rhys Hughes put the visitors two-up inside 21 minutes, but on 42, Zack Clarke broke into the box from the right and his low cross was magnificently flicked home by Osian Evans.
It was truly game on when 10 minutes into the second half Adrian Cieslewicz scored against his former club to make it 2-2.
But Danny Davies restored the lead for Craig Harrison’s men on 76 and that turned out to be the decider.

Flint Town United 1 Connah’s Quay Nomads 2

Nomads made it five wins out of six by taking the honours in the derby and maintaining their long successful run against Flint.
Callum West netted for the visitors on 10 and 49 minutes.
The first saw the striker on the spot to finish after an Abdi Sharif shot was parried out by keeper Jack Flint.
West’s second was something else. He stole the ball in his own half and then from inside the centre ciricle sent a stupendous effort beyond the stranded Flint and into the net.
Harry Dean replied for Flint in the 94th minute but it was too late to save the day.
