His excellent form this season has coincided with CPD Y Rhyl 1879’s impressive debut campaign in the JD Cymru North.
And this weekend he will have a big chance to shine when his team take on Cymru Premier opponents in the JD Welsh Cup quarter-finals.
Happy birthday to Jack Ian Parry – 20 today.
Born on January 28, 2006, striker Jack’s talents caught many admiring eyes at Crewe Alexandra, where he was a scholar representing the Under-18 and U21 sides.
Last season, his abilities were recognised by Flint Mountain, who signed him up for their new adventure in Tier 2 Cymru North.
And it all worked out fantastically well for Jack, who scored 15 goals in 27 league games for the Flintshire outfit.
Next came the move in summer 2025 to CPD Y Rhyl 1879, another team taking their first steps in the Cymru North.
Jack took a few games to find the target, but since his first goal for the Lilywhites in a 1-1 draw at Holywell Town last October, he has been a scoresheet regular.
The front man has netted nine times in his last 10 outings for Paul Moore’s side, including a double in a 3-1 triumph over Penrhyncoch.
His eight league goals place him joint sixth in the CN scorers’ chart. Jack’s overall Cymru North record to date is 23 goals in 44 league appearances.
The young striker has formed a lively partnership in attack with Archie Jones, who has scored 10 times in the league. The pair were both on the mark when Rhyl ended Llandudno’s unbeaten record in the CN this season with a 3-1 home triumph on January 1.
Among Jack’s strengths are his speed and decisiveness up front. His lightning finish in the 2-1 Welsh Cup victory at Porthmadog was deadly – and typified what he is capable of.
Jack and his family and friends would love nothing better than to mark his birthday with a win over Barry Town United at the Hops and Barley Community Stadium this Saturday in the JD Welsh Cup quarters.
Back in the summer, Grassroots North Wales marked down Jack Parry as one of the best signings of the 2025-26 pre-season. Six months on, it looks like we made a good shout.
