Wrexham AFC Women recorded their highest ever away win in the Adran Premier with a 5-0 beating of Aberystwyth Town at Park Avenue on Sunday.

In their 24th away fixture since being promoted to the Tier 1 league in 2023-24, the Red Dragons registered the biggest victory on their travels.

Rosie Hughes opened the scoring after just two minutes, before Lili Jones doubled the Red Dragons’ advantage prior to the interval.

Skipper Jodie Bartle netted the visitors’ third just three minutes after the restart as Jenny Sugarman’s side continued to apply the pressure.

After recording three assists, Katie Barker scored the final two goals for Wrexham – rounding off a fine performance from the second-placed visitors.

Sunday’s success keeps Wrexham level on points with leaders and champions Cardiff City, who top the standings on goal difference.
