NORTH WALES CRICKET LEAGUE DIV ONE REPORTS – JULY 26

Low totals were certainly the order of the day in Division One on Saturday.
Llandudno (2) 91-10 Mold (13) 92-4
Mighty Mold made it 13 straight wins and stretched their lead at the summit to nine points with a six-wicket success at The Oval.
Lewis Pringle claimed an excellent 4-12 off 6.2 overs, Thomas North 2-17 and Isaac Allen 2-20 as the visitors bowled out Tudno for just 91 after putting the hosts into bat.
Mold made it to 92-4 off 24.5, Oliver Hughes 2-20 for the home team.
Bangor 2nd XI (2) 146-10 Connah’s Quay (13) 147-4
Put into bat, Bangor seconds made a modest 146 all out, Saif Ijaz 31 not out, Mali Auty 3-27, Rhys Jones and Joshua Clarke both 2-23 and Lee Davies 2-24 for Quay, who responded with a winning 147-4, Morgan Duffy 40, Auty 37.
Dolgellau (2) 127-5 Northop 2nd XI (13) 129-4
Jack Williamson’s unbeaten 61 was the highlight of Dolgellau’s effort of 127-5 off 45, Joe Griffiths taking 2-28 for Northop seconds, who reached the winning post at 129-4, Chris Brooks 37 and Leo Grieg 32 not out, Lafrus Van Vuuren 2-23 and Jack Williamson 2-26 for the hosts.
Gresford (15) 45-0 Brymbo 2nd XI (0) 42-10
Chris Ellwood took 4-5, Simon Perry 4-7 and Huw Bellis 2-9 as Gresford blew away Brymbo seconds for just 42.
The hosts cruised to 45-0 in 7.2 overs for the easiest of 15-0 victories.
Hawarden Park (14) 179-8 Mochdre 2nd XI (1) 80-10
Corey Cuffe (61) and Evan Shaw (52) helped Hawarden Park set the biggest total of the day in Division One – 179-8 off 45 overs, Adam Jones took 3-20 and Alex J Davies 3-36 for the visitors, who collapsed to 80 all out, Shaw 4-12 and Jac Williams 3-17 for the 14-1 winners.
Pontblyddyn (4) 115-10 Halkyn (11) 116-8

A ninth-wicket stand of 18 ensured Halkyn staggered to a narrow win at Alder Meadow.
Captain James Griffiths top-scored with 40 as Pontblyddyn were dismissed for 115, Hammad Bajwa 4-22, Nathan Lavender 3-20 and Nathan Roett 2-24 for the visitors.

In reply, Halkyn were floundering on 98-8, but just managed to reach the winning line.
Bajwa was a key batsman as well as bowler, hitting a priceless 35 not out, Vishwa Manawaduge a brilliant 5-33 and Ioan Jones 3-29 for the hosts.
