Lock Stock Ardal North East reports – December 28

Brickfield Rangers 3 Chirk AAA 3

Bottom side Chirk will have been more than proud to pick up a point at Clywedog Park.

Goals from Niall Freeman on 31 minutes and Tom Freeman after 42 gave the Colliers a 2-0 half time lead.

Bricky rallied after the break, Haci Ozlu netting on 51 and 62 to level the contest, but Tom Freeman struck again after 68 to restore the away lead.

Callum Roberts equalised after 76 to make it 3-3, and that’s how it ended, Chirk finishing with 10 men after Niall Freeman was red carded on 82,

Dolgellau Athletic 3 Bow Street 3

The battle of the top two ended in dramatic fashion when Ryan Evans notched a 98th minute equaliser for the visitors.

Osian Morris gave Dol a 31st minute lead, Paul Lewis made it 2-0 on the hour, but Courtney Perkins and Steff Davies hit back on 62 and 69 respectively to level the match.

Sub Ioan Roberts made it 3-2 to the hosts after 78, but eight minutes into stoppage time came that equaliser which keeps Bow in top spot.

Llandrindod Wells 1 Builth Wells 2

Lyndon Jones’ net-finders on 36 and 45 minutes proved sufficient to win the day for Builth, Ashley Jones’ reply on 86 meriting only a consolation for Llan.

Llanfair United 0 Llansantffraid 2

Jake Harris plundered the all-important second goal that clinched maximum points for Llansantffraid in their bid to escape from the relegation zone.

Llangollen Town 2 Cefn Albion 0

Jack Welsh netted on 68 minutes and Meuryn Hughes after 73 to ensure Llangollen claimed the spoils at Tower Field.

Llanidloes Town 0 Rhos Aelwyd 0

Llanidloes overcame the 45th minute dismissal of Joe Cook for a second yellow to take a point against visitors Aelwyd.

Penycae 0 Llanuwchllyn 1

Meilir Williams’ 49th goal of 2024 for Llanuwchllyn was enough to seal his team a hard-fought victory at Afoneitha Road.

Williams’ 32nd minute penalty was enough to divide the sides.

Radnor Valley 2 Kerry 2

All the goals arrived in the first half at The Bypass, Joey Price and Jack Clarke netting for the hosts, captain Barry Bellis and Luke Mumford for Kerry, who slipped to fourth place.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the fourth minute when Bellis swept home a Neil Mitchell cross from the right past Trevor Gummer in the Goats’ goal.

The New Radnor men were back on level terms seven minutes later when Clarke squared the ball across the penalty area for Price to find the back of the net.

The hosts regained the lead on the half-hour mark when Clarke ran on a well-timed Elliot Morris pass before sliding the ball past an advancing Ryan Andrew in the Kerry goal.

The Lambs were not behind for long as they equalised within 60 seconds of the restart as Mumford latched on to a Ben Hendleman through ball before rounding Gummer to find the back of the net.

Former Rhosgoch Rangers forward Geraint Lloyd could have put the Goats ahead in first-half stoppage-time but directed Price’s inviting cross from the left wide of the far post.

Roles were reversed in the 84th when Lloyd played a Josh Hall free-kick into the path of Price but the Radnor talisman was unable to keep his effort under the crossbar as the Goats had to content themselves with a share of the spoils.
