The foundations have been laid for a bright future between CPD Bangor 1876 and Bangor City Stadium
The Cymru North fan-owned club has today received assurances from the stadium board that a new agreement will confirm 1876 maintain control of the football side of things.
The club released the following joint statement this afternoon:
“We are delighted to announce that they (BCS) have agreed that if CPD Bangor 1876 join forces with Bangor City Stadium that CPD Bangor 1876 will:
“These were essential points that CPD Bangor 1876 needed confirming prior to any commitment to a partnership to protect the long-term future of CPD Bangor 1876, and we are pleased that they have been accepted by Bangor City Stadium.
“We can now move forward to finalise the partnership agreement and we look forward to working with Bangor City Stadium. We will not be commenting any further on this situation until the partnership agreement is agreed and signed.”
The statement was attributed to Dr Glynne Roberts, Bangor 1876 chairman and Mr Nick Pritchard, Bangor City Stadium chairman.
Mr Pritchard yesterday published the following suggestions on social media for the way forward:
