Fourteen-year-old sensation included in Wales Under-17 squad!

At the age of just 14, Ynys Môn football sensation Mabli Blackshaw has earned a call-up to the Wales Under-17 squad.
It is the latest amazing development in the career of the Holyhead girl who plays for Caernarfon Town Academy.
Mabli is included in Natalie Lawrence’s Cymru U17 group for an international friendly tournament in Portugal next week, part of preparations for the upcoming UEFA Euro qualifying campaign.
Iceland will be Cymru’s first opponent at Estádio Dr Américo Couto on Tuesday 8 September (KO 3pm).
Lawrence’s side will then return to Estádio Dr Américo Couto to face Denmark three days later on Friday 11 September (KO 11am) before ending the tournament against the hosts at Complexo Desportivo Cantanhede on Monday 14 September (KO 11am).
Cymru were drawn in Group B4 for their UEFA WU17 Euro qualifying campaign and will take on North Macedonia, Georgia and Luxembourg later this year.
Also in the Wales squad are Aston Villa’s Cadi Griffiths of Trawsfynydd, sister of full senior international striker Mared, and ex-Glan Conwy talent Ella Jones, now with Liverpool, who has represented the Reds first team in pre-season friendlies.
The versatile and very pacy Mabli can play left wing, right wing or central midfield, as well as striker.
She has already won a handful of caps for the Wales Under-16 side, who she first represented at the age of 12!
Back in April, she netted twice for Cymru in a 3-1 victory over Albania at the Women’s Under-16 Development Tournament in Tirana.
