Oli Williams is the new Flint Town United women’s team manager

Flint Town United women’s team have appointed a new manager.

He is Oli Williams, 22, who takes over following the departure of Tony Doyle due to other commitments.

B Licence holder Williams is also involved in playing and management at St Asaph City.

He is brother of Flint Town United player Kaelyn.

The new manager said: “I’m really happy to be joining FTU Ladies. I have watched their growth over the last few years and was really excited when I was approached to become manager.

“We are developing something special and I’m looking forward to getting to work with the brilliant staff we have with this club.

“We have an excellent squad of players that I met this week and I’m looking forward to see how we can develop as a team over the season.

“A club like Flint should be competing at the highest level and this will be our focus as a group over the coming seasons.”

Stephen Hughes and Lee Hastings will remain vital members of the management team.

Promoted to the tier 2 Genero Adran North league in only their third season, Flint have produced some encouraging performances in the 2024-25 campaign so far, including reaching the last 16 of the national Genero Adran Trophy.

Flint are due to play NFA at home in a league game this Sunday, kick-off 2 pm at Eassity Stadium.
